exceed 320 acres, and no person who has made an arrange-
ment or agreement to permit any one, save his son or
daughter, to acquire by purchase or otherwise the allotment
in respect of which his application is made, shall be entitled
to become a settler under these regulations.

  1. Any settler who shall fail to comply with these regu-
    lations in any respect shall, upon sufficient proof thereof to
    the satisfaction of the Land Board of the district, forfeit
    his interest in the land selected, and the land shall there-
    after be dealt with as ordinary Crown land; and these con-
    ditions shall be sufficient authority for such forfeiture.

  2. The association may make such rules and regulations
    from time to time as it may deem necessary, subject to the
    approval of the Commissioner.

  3. In case any doubt shall arise as to the sufficiency of
    the compliance with these regulations, with reference to the
    selection, occupation, or improvement of any land, or other-
    wise arising thereunder respectively, the same shall be settled
    by the Land Board.

  4. Excepting as expressly modified by these regulations,
    the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892," and its amend-
    ments shall be deemed to have full force and effect over and
    upon the land herein referred to, and shall, mutatis mutandis,
    be read as if these regulations formed part of the Act.

Schedule.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing
by admeasurement 9,860 acres, more or less, and comprising
Sections Nos. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, Block
XVI., Ngatimaru Survey District; Sections Nos. 9, 10, 11,
12, 13, 20, Block XIII., Mahoe Survey District; Sections
Nos. 1 to 17, 19 to 22, 24, 25, 26, Block IV., Omona Survey
District; and Sections Nos. 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17,
Block I., Taurakawa Survey District, in the Land District
of Taranaki.

Amended Regulation for Trout-fishing in the Grey District
Acclimatisation District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of October, 1895.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him
by "The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884," His Excel-
lency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby make the following regulation
for the Grey District Acclimatisation District—which in-
cludes the Boroughs of Brunner and Greymouth, and the
County of Grey—and the waters thereof; and doth hereby
declare that this regulation shall, as from the day of the
date hereof, supersede regulation number two made by Order
in Council dated the twenty-ninth day of October, one
thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, and published in
the New Zealand Gazette, No. 79, of the first day of Novem-
ber, in the same year.

REGULATION.

  1. Licenses, when issued as aforesaid for the whole season,
    shall entitle the person named therein to fish for trout in
    any of the said waters from the first day of October in any
    one year to the thirty-first day of March in the following
    year inclusive; but no such license shall confer any right of
    entry upon the land of any person without his consent.

Powers delegated to the Tinwald Domain Board under "The
Public Domains Act, 1881."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of October, 1895.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in him by "The Public Domains Act, 1881,"
His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council,
dated the first day of July, one thousand eight hundred
and ninety, making delegation of certain powers in man-
ner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice
and consent, by this present Order, delegate, but only with
respect to the piece or parcel of land described in the
Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act afore-
said, except the powers under or conferred by sections five
and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall
be known as the Tinwald Public Domain Board, namely,—

EDWARD GEORGE WRIGHT,
JOHN GRIGG,
JOSEPH CLARK,
GEORGE McLEAN BUCKLEY, and
JAMES HESELTINE

(herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the stipu-
lations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on
    the first Tuesday in each month, at half-past two o'clock
    p.m., at the County Council Office, or at such other time or
    place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The
    first meeting shall be held on Tuesday, the fifth day of
    November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

  2. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
    by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
    notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
    the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and
    no other business than that so specified shall be transacted
    at such meeting.

  3. Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any
    meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  4. The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting,
    and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the first
    Monday in December in every succeeding year thereafter,
    elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the
    discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting
    vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of
    his successor.

  5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
    time appointed for holding the same, the members present
    shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of
    such meeting.

  6. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise,
    the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the mem-
    bers may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a
    Chairman.

  7. All questions shall be determined by the majority of
    votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District,
being portion of Reserve No. 350 (in red), containing by
admeasurement 230 acres, more or less. Bounded towards
the north-east by Section No. 3936; towards the south-east
by Sections Nos. 6022 and 6023, and also by Reserves Nos.
2064 and 2275, and by a road; towards the south-west by
Reserve No. 350; and towards the north-west by the north-
west boundary of Reserve No. 350.

Aka-aka Land Drainage District, County of Manukau, con-
stituted.

GLASGOW, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of October, 1895.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the
fifth section of "The Land Drainage Act, 1893," a
majority of the ratepayers in the district described in the
Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Manukau, have
presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand praying that the land comprised in
the said district be constituted a drainage district under the
provisions of the said Act:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority contained in the fifth section of "The Land
Drainage Act, 1893," His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby
constitute and declare the block of land described in the
said petition, and in the Schedule hereto, to be a district for
the purposes of Part I. of the said Act, and to be called by
the name of "The Aka-aka Drainage District"; and also,
in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority con-
tained in the ninth section of the said Act, doth hereby
declare that the Board of Trustees for the said district shall
consist of five members, to be elected under and in accord-
ance with the said Act.
