Land declared to be Crown Land subject to "The Land for Settlements Act, 1894."

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the provisions of "The Land for Settlements Act, 1894" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), and the purchase thereof has been concluded as by the said Act is provided: And whereas it is enacted by the said Act that all land so acquired shall be proclaimed as Crown land subject to the provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, on the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, be and be deemed to be Crown land subject to the provisions of "The Land for Settlements Act, 1894."
SCHEDULE.
KERETA SETTLEMENT.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 105 acres 2 roods 29 perches, more or less, situated in Block IX., Arowhenua Survey District, being Lot No. 21 of the Seadown Block, and comprising Sections Nos. 14360 and 14391, and parts of Sections Nos. 4014, 13628, and 14475; as the same is delineated upon a plan marked S.G. 19012, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

Additional Land taken in New River Hundred for the Purpose of the Makarewa-Riverton Portion of the Western Railways.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Makarewa-Riverton portion of the Western Railways to take further land in New River Hundred, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-eight and one hundred and sixty-seven of "The Public Works Act, 1894," and of every other power and authority in any wise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.
