Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 4th September, 1895.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-men-
tioned applications for Letters Patent have been
accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from the
date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate,
of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in
such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee
of 10s. is payable with such notice:—
No. 7257.—12th November, 1894.—John Alfred Dugins,
of St. Andrew's, Evelyn, Prospector, Julius Alfred Carl-
son, of Leicester Street, Carlton, Miner, and William Ernest
Poole, of High Street, Kew, Decorator, all in Victoria. An
invention for a new and improved machine for saving fine
gold and other minerals. (Specification, 17s. 6d.; drawings,
£1 5s.)
No. 7281.—22nd November, 1894.—John Greenslade, of
Prebbleton, Canterbury, New Zealand, Engineer. An in-
vention for improvements in combined grain and seed
threshing, shelling, and dressing machines. (Specifica-
tion, 13s. 6d.; drawings, £1.)

No. 7352.—27th December, 1894.—Atkinson Crossley, of
the Scarlet Ferric Oxide Company, Talywain, near Ponty-
pool, Monmouthshire. An invention for an improved
process and apparatus for the manufacture of zinc oxides,
-sulphates, and sulphides from zinc-ashes, zinc-blende,
carbonate of zinc, and other ores of a complex nature, such
as ores containing lead, zinc, silver, copper, manganese, iron,
or other metals in combination. (Specification, 12s. 6d.;
drawings, 5s.)
No. 7664.—11th June, 1895.—William Tyree, of 42, Lamb-
ton Quay, Wellington, New Zealand, Photographer. An
invention for new or improved apparatus for heaving lines.

Cathedral Square, Christchurch, New Zealand, Inventor.
An invention for improved means of and apparatus for

No. 7786.—2nd August, 1895.—Malcolm Macgregor Hen-
derson, of Osborne Avenue, East Brighton, George Fuller-
ton, of 18, Elphin Street, Newport, and Charles William
Watson, of "Daphne," Brinsley Road, Camberwell, all in
Victoria, Engineers. An invention for improvements in
boxes, cases, enclosures, or analogous structures usable for
the preservation of merchandise. (Specification, 17s.; draw-
ings, £1.)
No. 7820.—16th August, 1895.—George William Shailer,
Settler, and John Samuel Watchorn, Merchant, both of
Palmerston North, New Zealand. An invention for an im-
proved cultivator. (Specification, 6s.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)
No. 7829.—21st August, 1895.—The American Tobacco
Company of New Zealand (Limited), whose registered office
is at No. 102, Victoria Arcade, Auckland, New Zealand
(assignees of Albert Leroy Munson, of Nos. 16 and 18,
Reade Street, New York, United States of America,
temporarily residing in Melbourne, Victoria, Manufacturer).
An invention for improvements in cigarette-machines.

No. 7831.—19th August, 1895.—Frank Victor Raymond,
of Invercargill, New Zealand, Solicitor. An invention en-
titled "The Improved Centric Tin-opener," for opening tins

No. 7833.—19th August, 1895.—John Atkinson Walker,
of Melrose, Devonport, Auckland, New Zealand, Timber
Merchant. An invention for an improved toggle-bar for

No. 7835.—23rd August, 1895.—Henry William Williams,
of 42, Lambton Quay, Wellington, New Zealand, Cook. An
invention for a new composition of matter for cleaning and
