NOTICE is hereby given that the undersigned William
John Prictor and William Alexander Crawford,
lately carrying on business, under the style of "W. J. Prictor
and Co.," as Advertising Agents and Newsvendors, have dis-
solved Partnership as from the 31st day of July, 1895.
The business of Newsvendors will in future be carried
on by the said William John Prictor (in conjunction with
Richard Steel Ormsby) under the style of "Prictor and
Ormsby," at Stafford and Princes Streets, Dunedin.
The Advertising Agency will be separately carried on by
the said W. A. Crawford in his own name.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undersigned William
John Prictor and Richard Steel Ormsby have entered
into Copartnership as Newsvendors and News Agents as
from the 1st day of August, 1895, at Stafford and Princes
Streets, Dunedin, under the style of "Prictor and Ormsby."
In connection with the above Mr. Ormsby will also carry
on the business of General Accountant and Financial Agent.

NOTICE.

WALTER HARTWELL JAMES has been appointed
this day by his Honour the Chief Justice a Com-
missioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the
Colony of Western Australia, under the 2nd section of "The
Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875," for the
purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits,
and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

NOTICE.

In the matter of "The District Railways Act, 1877," and
the several amendments thereof; and in the matter of the
Greymouth-Point Elizabeth Railway and Coal Company
(Limited).
WHEREAS by Proclamation published in the New
Zealand Gazette, No. 44, of 14th August, 1890, His
Excellency the Governor authorised the Cobden Railway
and Coal Company (Limited) to construct a railway under
the above-mentioned Acts from Cobden, via Coal Creek, to
a point near Seven-mile Creek, as shown and referred to in
the plan and book of reference, dated 2nd May, 1889, de-
posited in the Public Works Office, Wellington, and num-
bered P.W.D. 16239: And whereas the said Cobden Railway
and Coal Company (Limited) has transferred all its interests
in the said railway to the Greymouth-Point Elizabeth Rail-
way and Coal Company (Limited): Notice is hereby given
that it is the intention of the Greymouth-Point Elizabeth
Railway and Coal Company (Limited) to apply to His Excel-
lency the Governor for authority to construct a further
extension of said railway, and to alter certain portions of the
centre line beyond the limits of deviation shown on aforesaid
deposited plan; and that an amended plan, showing such
extensions and alterations, and amended books of reference
showing the lands required to be taken for the same, and the
names of the owners and occupiers thereof, have this day
been deposited and may be inspected at the office of the
Minister for Public Works, Wellington, and at the office of
the Grey County Council, Greymouth, and at the Post-office,
Cobden.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for
the first insertion and 3d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
2s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before three o'clock of the day
preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders
should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed "Pub-
lic a/c," and exchange added.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are
issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to
prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should
accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be
returned with receipted account.
