SCHEDULE.
REGULATI ONS.

  1. After the 31st day of July, 1895, the number of license
    s to use the totalisator that may be issued by the Col onial
    Secretary in any one year shall not exceed one hundred and
    fifty-six.

  2. Every application for a license as aforesaid shall be
    m a d e in the Form No. 1 appended to these regulations, or in
    s u c h other form as the Col onial Secretary may from time to
    time p r e s c r i b e .

  3. Each application shall be accom panied by a p r o g r a m m e
    of the proposed meeting, d u l y v e r i f i e d , together with a list
    of the members of the club, and a copy of the last balance
    sheet of the club v e r i f i e d by the s t a t u t o r y d e c l a r a t i o n of the
    secre tary, treasurer, or other the principal executive officer.

  4. The Col onial Secretary shall have power to r e f u s e or
    withhold the g r a n t i n g of a license in any case.
    Subject as aforesaid, the p r o v i s i o n s of " The G a m i n g and
    Lotteries Act, 1881," and its a m e n d m e n t s shall apply to all
    l i c e n s e s issued hereunder.

said club, h e r e b y apply for a license to use the totalisator at
a m e e t i n g to be held at on the day of

of the proposed m e e t i n g , a list of the present m e m b e r s of
the club, and a copy of the last balance-sheet d u l y v e r i f i e d .

I N exercise and p u r s u a n c e of the powers v e s t e d in him by
" T h e C e m e t e r i e s Act 1882 A m e n d m e n t Act, 1885," and
of all other powers e n a b l i n g him in that b e h a l f , H i s E x c e l
l e n c y the G o v e r n o r of the C o l o n y of New Zeal and, by and
with the advice and consent of the E x e c u t i v e Council of the
said c o l o n y , doth h e r e b y delegate to " T h e C h a i r m a n , C o u n c i l
l o r s , and I n h a b i t a n t s of the H u t t C o u n t y " the powers con
ferred upon him by section six of " T h e C e m e t e r i e s Act ,
1882," as to the a p p o i n t m e n t and r e m o v a l of t r u s t e e s for the
c e m e t e r y described in the S c h e d u l e hereto ; and doth declare
that this Order in Council shall take effect as from the day
of the date hereof.

A L L that p a r c e l of land in the Land District of Wellington ,
c o n t a i n i n g 3 a c r e s , more or less, being part of Section No. 60 ,
Block V., B e l m o n t S u r v e y District. Bounded towards the
north-west and north-east by other parts of the said Section
No. 60 ; towards the south-east by a public road ; and
t o w a r d s the south-west by Section No. 57 of Block V.

B Y virtue of the powers and authorities v e s t e d in me by
the t w e n t y - f o u r t h section of " T h e P u b l i c R e s e r v e s
Act, 1881, " I, David, E a r l of G l a s g o w , the G o v e r n o r of the
Colony of New Zeal and, by and with the advice and consent
of the E x e c u t i v e Council of the said c o l o n y , do h e r e b y order
and declare that the r e s e r v e made for public r e c r e a t i o n in
the Land District of Wellington, and k n o w n as the N u k u
m a r u R e c r e a t i o n - g r o u n d , and described in the S c h e d u l e
hereto, shall be and the same is h e r e b y brought under the
operation of and declared to be subject to the p r o v i s i o n s of
" T h e P u b l i c D o m a i n s Act, 1881 " ; and such domain shall
hereafter be m a n a g e d , a d m i n i s t e r e d , and d e a l t with in
m a n n e r d i r e c t e d by the said Act.

ALL that p a r c e l of land in the Land District of W e l l i n g t o n , c o n t a i n i n g by a d m e a s u r e m e n t 1,220 a c r e s , more or
less, being Sections Nos. 63, 66, Block X I I I . , N u k u m a r u , and
Sections Nos. 67, 71, 71A, Block X I V . , W a i r o a S u r v e y D i s t r i c t s . Bounded on the north by Sections Nos. 70, 68, 65 ,
64 ; on the east by Section No. 62 ; on the south by the road
reserve along the coast; and on the west by portion of Run
No. 11, not included in a section, and by Section No. 72 : as
the same is d e l i n e a t e d on the plan deposited in the District
S u r v e y Office, Wellington.

be k n o w n as the Waitaki N o r t h D o m a i n Board, n a m e l y , β€”

(hereinafter r e f e r r e d to as " t h e Board "), subject to the
stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say, β€”

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on
    the first Monday in each month, at eight o'clock p.m., at the
    Schoolhouse, Waitaki North, or at such other time or place
    as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first
    meeting shall be held on Monday, the second day of September, one thousand eight hundred and n i n e t y - f i v e .

  2. Special meetings may be convened by the C h a i r m a n or
    by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
    n o t i c e of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
    the business to be trans a c t e d at such special meeting; and
    no other business than that so specified shall be trans a c t e d
    at such meeting.

  3. Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum.
    Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  4. The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting ,
    and thereaft er at an annual meeting to be held on the first
    Monday in January in every s u c c e e d i n g year thereaft er ,
    e l e c t one of themselves to be C h a i r m a n , who may join in the
    d i s c u s s i o n , and shall have an original as well as a c a s t i n g
    v o t e . The C h a i r m a n shall hold office until the election of
    h i s successor.

  5. If at any meeting the C h a i r m a n is not present at the
    time a p p o i n t e d for holding the same, the members present
    s h a l l choose some one of their number to be c h a i r m a n of
    s u c h meeting.

  6. If, by r e s i g n a t i o n , death, or incapacity or otherwise ,
    the office of C h a i r m a n shall be or become v a c a n t , the mem
    bers may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a
    C h a i r m a n .

  7. All questions shall be d e t e r m i n e d by the majority of
    votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

S C H E D U L E .

A L L that p a r c e l of land in the Land District of Canterbury ,
c o n t a i n i n g by a d m e a s u r e m e n t 57 a c r e s , more or less, being
Section No. 2915 (in red), formerly part of R e s e r v e No. 642 ,
s i t u a t e in Block X I V . , Waitaki S u r v e y District. Bounded
t o w a r d s the north by Lots Nos. 101 and 102, subdivision of
R e s e r v e No. 642; towards the south-east by the road form
ing the south-west b o u n d a r i e s of Lots Nos. 105 and 106, sub
d i v i s i o n of R e s e r v e No. 642; towards the south-west by the
road reserved along the River Waitaki; and towards the
north-west by the road f o r m i n g the south-east b o u n d a r y of
Lot No. 110, subdivision of R e s e r v e No. 642: save and ex
c e p t i n g thereout R e s e r v e No. 2914, c o n t a i n i n g 5 a c r e s , which
is included within the above-described b o u n d a r i e s ; as the
s a m e is d e l i n e a t e d on the map deposited in the District
S u r v e y Office, Christchurch.
