Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.
Patent Office,
Wellington, 7th August, 1895.
COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-men-
tioned applications for Letters Patent have been
accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from the
date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate,
of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in
such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee
of 10s. is payable with such notice:—
No. 7213.—30th November, 1893.—Arthur Saxby Barham,
Managing Director of the Dairy Supply Company (Limited),
of Museum Street, London, England (assignee of Richard
William Woosnam, of the same address, Analyst). An inven-
tion for improvements in apparatus specially suitable for use
in estimating the amount of fat in milk and other substances.
(Specification, 16s. 6d.; drawings, 12s. 6d.)

Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1889," the date given being that of the
application in Great Britain.]

Caversham Rise, Dunedin, New Zealand, Commission Agent.
An invention for an insulator, to be called "Clayforth's
Silicate Insulator." (Specification, 15s. 6d.)
No. 7386.—23rd January, 1895.—Charles Chase Morris,
of Waldeck, Riverton, New Zealand, Colonel Retired List,
Madras Army. An invention for a pocket tobacco-cutter.

Moray Place, Dunedin, New Zealand, Cabinetmaker. An
invention for improvements in covering upholsterer's work,
entitled "Angell's Improved Spring Furniture." (Specifica-

No. 7766.—18th July, 1895.—William George Crossley,
Dentist, and Eliza Anne Crossley, Spinster, both of Symonds
Street, Auckland, New Zealand. An invention entitled
"Crossley and Sister's Corrugated Spring-steel Tire."

176, Queen Street, Auckland, New Zealand, Gunmaker. An
invention entitled "Hazard's Boot or Shoe Calorific," an
arrangement for drying or warming boots or shoes. (Speci-

No. 7768.—25th July, 1895.—The Hygienic Spring Mat-
tress Company, of 341, Collins Street, Melbourne, Victoria
(assignees of Carl Otto Ihle, of Valetta Street, Malvern, near
Melbourne, aforesaid, Cabinetmaker). An invention for an
improved spring mattress. (Specification, 3s.; drawings, 3s.)

Lochiel, Forest Hill, Otago, New Zealand, Shepherd. An
invention entitled "Cameron's Anti-tile Drain Apparatus."

No. 7772.—25th July, 1895.—Dr. Carl Hoepfner, of 36,
Frankfurterstrasse, Giessen, Germany, Chemist. An inven-
tion for improvements in and relating to the extraction of
metals, and to apparatus therefor. (Specification, £1 5s. 6d.;

Auckland, New Zealand, Farmer. An invention for culti-
vating and raising potatoes, to be called "Ewen's Improved
Cultivator and Potato-raiser Combined." (Specification, 2s.;

Ridge, Otago, New Zealand, Farmer. An invention for

No. 7778.—23rd July, 1895.—William Stevenson, of Moray
Place, Dunedin, New Zealand, Manufacturer. An invention
for an improvement in soldering-bolt or -iron for circular
soldering or capping. (Specification, 4s.; drawings, 3s.)
No. 7781.—30th July, 1895.—John Durward, Engineer,
Henry James Topliss, Engineer, and Charles Topliss,
Pattern-maker, all of Addington, New Zealand. An inven-
tion for an improved governor for traction and other steam-
engines. (Specification, 1s. 6d.; drawings, 5s.)
No. 7784.—1st August, 1895.—Herbert Credgington, of
7, Pall Mall, Bendigo, Victoria, Watchmaker (assignee
of George Barnes, of 187, Albert Road, Albert Park, near
Melbourne, Victoria, Journalist). An invention for an im-
proved tap to enable kerosene or other liquid to be readily
withdrawn from kerosene tins or other similar receptacles.

No. 7785.—1st August, 1895.—Gustaf Dillberg, of Glen
View Street, Paddington, Sydney, New South Wales, and
Parnell Rabbidge, of William Street, Double Bay, Sydney
aforesaid, Electricians. An invention for an improved tele-
phonic instrument designed for use on poorly-insulated lines,
such as the existing wires of an ordinary wire-fence. (Speci-
