WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE UNDER "THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1894."
NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei County
Council intend to take as and for a public work—to wit, the construction of a road—part of middle portion of
Allotment 1, part of Allotment 10, and parts of south-east,
north-west, and north-east portions of Allotment 9, all in
the Parish of Ruatangata, County of Marsden, and contain-
ing 14 acres 2 roods 9 perches, more or less; and that the
said Council have caused a plan to be prepared showing the
land required to be taken for the same, and the names of the
owners and occupiers as far as can be ascertained; and that
such plan is deposited at the office of the said Council, Bank
Street, in the Town District of Whangarei, and is open for
inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours: and all
persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in
writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the
execution of such work, or the taking of such land, and to
send such writing within forty days from the first publica-
tion of this notice to the said Whangarei County Council, at
their office, Whangarei aforesaid.

In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and its
amendments, and of the Commissioner's Flat Gold-
mining Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 202 of
the above Act, that a General Meeting of the mem-
bers of the above-named company will be held at the
Chamber of Commerce, Dunedin, on Monday, the 14th day
of October, 1895, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, for the pur-
pose of having an account laid before them, showing the
manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and
the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing
any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator; and
also of determining, by extraordinary resolution, the manner
in which the books, accounts, and documents of the com-
pany, and of the Liquidator thereof, shall be disposed of.
