IT is hereby notified for public information that the Hon.
the Commissioner of Trade and Customs has decided
to interpret "The Customs and Excise Duties Act, 1888," in
relation to the under-mentioned articles as follows:—

Note.—"Not otherwise enumerated" appears as n.o.e.; "other
kinds" as o.k.; "articles and materials suited only for, and to be
used solely in, the fabrication of goods in the colony" as a. & m.s.
Articles marked thus * are revised decisions.

out administration, the Public Trustee has filed in
the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington an election
to administer the several intestate estates of the persons
deceased whose names, residences, and occupations, so far

properties being estimated not to exceed £250 in each case.

Officiating Ministers within the meaning of the said Act are
published for general information:—

Tenders for the Supply and Delivery of Telegraph Arms.

THE Electric Telegraph Commissioner is prepared to
receive separate tenders until the 31st July, 1895, for
the supply and delivery of telegraph arms as under:—

1,000 (one thousand) arms, 2ft. 3in. long.
2,000 (two thousand) arms, 4ft. 6in. long.
2,500 (two thousand five hundred) arms, 6ft. 6in. long.

Specifications and sample arms can be seen at the Tele-
graph Stores, Wellington, and the telegraph-offices at Mas-
terton, Palmerston North, and Wellington.

Tenders to be addressed to the "Superintendent of Elec-
tric Lines, Wellington," and indorsed "Tender for Tele-
graph Arms."

Sale of Unclaimed Property.

Police Department (Commissioner's Office),
Wellington, 16th July, 1895.
THE unclaimed property described hereunder, and now
in possession of the police at the stations named, will,
unless previously claimed, be sold by public auction at the
respective police-offices on Saturday, the 10th August proximo,
at noon, in accordance with the police regulations:—

Auckland: Three coats, two vests, portmanteau contain-
ing boys' clothing, and sundries.

Napier: Ladies' boa, despatch-bag, rug, coat, vest and
trousers, iron boiler, and sundries.

Wellington: Ladies' Waterbury watch, tin box, sailor's
bag of clothes, two gold rings, brooch, swag, and sundries.

Greymouth: Box of cigars, masonic pendant, boa, and
sundries.

Christchurch: Silver hunting-watch, gold locket, thirteen
small gold nuggets, two overcoats, Gladstone bag, and sun-
dries.

Dunedin: Waterbury watch, silver chain, two overcoats,
swag, and sundries.
