SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land, containing 51 acres 2 roods, and
known as Allotment No. 45, Parish of Pepepe, held under
Crown grant dated the 15th July, 1880, in favour of Hunia
te Ihu, and containing the following restrictions: “Inalien-
able by gift, sale, lease, or mortgage, except with the consent
of the Governor being previously obtained to any such gift,
sale, lease, or mortgage.”
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this thirteenth day of July, one thousand eight

The following special orders, made by the Taratahi-
Carterton Road Board, are published in accordance
with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDERS PASSED BY TARATAHI-CARTERTON ROAD BOARD.
That, for the purpose of providing for the annual interest
and charges upon a loan of £1,000, to be raised under the
provisions of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act,
1886,” for the purpose of repairing the extraordinary damage
done by flood to the Hurunuiorangi Bridge and approaches,
and to the roads leading to Kokotau Bridge, this Board do
now make a special rate of ½d. in the pound, annually
recurring for twenty-six years, and levied upon all rateable
properties within No. 8 Subdivision of the Taratahi-Carter-
ton Road District. That such special rate shall be payable
in two equal instalments on the 1st day of December and
June in each year for twenty-six years.
I certify that the foregoing special order has been duly
passed by the Taratahi-Carterton Road Board on the 1st
day of June, 1895, and duly confirmed by the same on the
6th day of July, 1895.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and charges
on a loan of £400, to be raised under the provisions of “The
Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the pur-
pose of defraying a portion of the cost of erecting a cart-
traffic bridge over the Waiohine River at Matarawa (the
total cost thereof being estimated at £1,600), this Board now
levy a special rate of ¼d. in the pound, annually recurring
for twenty-six years, over the rateable properties within the
Matarawa Bridge Special Rating District hereinafter de-
fined. That such special rate shall be payable in two equal
instalments on the 1st day of December and June in each
year for twenty-six years.
All that area of land, being part of No. 5 Subdivision of
the Taratahi-Carterton Road District, bounded towards
the north and west by Sections 246 and 270, Block X.,
Sections 234 and 235, and by Subdivisioal Allotment No. 9
of Section No. 236, Block IX., Sections 301, 352, 353, and 351,
Block V., all in the Tiffin Survey District, and by a straight
line from the westernmost corner of the said Section 351 to
the summit of Mount Waiohine; thence by a straight line
running due west to the Waiohine River; and thence
towards the west, south, and east by the Waiohine River,
down stream, to the north-eastern corner of Section 232,
Block X., Tiffin Survey District.
I certify that the foregoing special order has been duly
passed by the Taratahi-Carterton Road Board on the 1st day
of June, 1895, and duly confirmed by the same on the 6th
day of July, 1895.
Dated this 13th day of July, 1895.

That the private road running through Section No. 236,
Taratahi Plain Block, from Dalefield Road to Moffat's Line,
and known as Jervois Road, be now declared a public road
under the charge and control of the Taratahi-Carterton
Road Board.

passed by the Taratahi-Carterton Road Board on the 1st
day of June, 1895, and duly confirmed by the same on the
6th day of July, 1895.
