Run No. 64.—40 acres cleared and in grass, remainder
very broken, with good soil in gullies, fern, scrub, and birch
bush ; accessible by road, about seventeen miles from Blen-
heim. Weighted with £300, value of improvements.

Run No. 65.—90 acres cleared and in grass, remainder
very broken, with good soil in gullies, fern, scrub, and birch
bush ; accessible by road, about seventeen miles from Blen-
heim. Weighted with £200, value of improvements.

Run No. 66.—10 acres cleared and in grass, remainder
fern, scrub, and birch bush ; accessible by road, about seven-
teen miles from Blenheim. Weighted with £200, value of
improvements.

Run No. 67.—42 acres cleared and in grass, remainder
fern, scrub, and birch ; well watered; accessible by road,
about fifteen miles from Blenheim. Weighted with £130,
value of improvements.

Run No. 68.—Principally bush, portion scrub and fern ;
clay soil, well watered; accessible by formed track from
Matau-a-maui Bay.

Run No. 70.—All bush, very broken on northern slopes,
very good soil in south-western corner.

Run No. 71.—All bush, very broken on northern slopes
well watered.

Run No. 72.—Nearly all heavy birch bush, steep slopes,
poor soil, portion of good land with mixed bush near
southern end; well watered.

Run No. 75.—All bush; small flat, remainder hilly; well
watered; accessible by formed track.

Runs numbered 68 to 75 are situated from eleven to
thirteen miles from Picton via Torea Neck.

CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

  1. The term of lease is twenty-one years, with the option
    of renewal for a further period of twenty-one years, at a rent
    to be fixed by valuation, and improvements being secured to
    essee as provided by “The Land Act, 1892,” section 182.
    Each lessee is required to make the declaration as per form
    printed below.

  2. No person can lease more than one run.

  3. Residence on the run is compulsory, and commences
    within three years in bush or swamp land, and within one
    year in open or partly open land, unless the lessee obtain
    the consent of the Land Board to reside on other land in his
    occupation.

  4. Permanent improvements must be effected equal to one
    year's rental by the end of the first year, two years' rental
    by the end of the second year, and four years' rental at the
    end of the sixth year; and on bush land, in addition thereto,
    improvements must be made to the value of 10s. an acre if
    first-class land, or of 5s. an acre if second-class land.

  5. One half-year's rent and £1 1s. for the lease must be
    paid immediately the application is declared successful; the
    rent to be paid half-yearly in advance during the term of
    the lease. The next payment of rent will become due on
    the 1st March, 1896.

  6. The lessee has no right to purchase any part of the land;
    but he can select 150 acres around the homestead through
    which no road can be taken or other public privilege exercised
    without compensation.

DECLARATION.

  1. That I am of the age of seventeen years and upwards.

  2. That I am the person who, subject to the provisions of
    “The Land Act, 1892,” am desirous of becoming the pur-
    chaser of a lease of Run No.†

  3. That I am purchasing such lease solely for my own use
    and benefit, and not directly or indirectly for the use of
    any other person or persons whatever.

  4. That I am not already the holder of any such lease in
    any part of the colony, nor have I any interest in any such
    lease.

  5. That I am not the holder of any run under Part VI. of
    the aforesaid Act, nor have I any interest in any such run.

  6. That I do not own any freehold land or land held by
    lease or license of any kind whatever anywhere in the
    colony, either by myself or jointly with any other person,
    which, exclusive of the land I am now purchasing the lease
    of, will exceed in area 1,000 acres.

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously be-
lieving the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Justices
of the Peace Act, 1882.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned land
will be offered at public auction, for cash, at the
above-named office, on Wednesday, the 14th August, 1895,
at 12 o'clock noon.

SECTION 9, Block XXXV., Town of Opunake, 1 rood.
Upset price, £10.

CONDITIONS OF SALE.

One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of
the hammer, and the balance, together with £1 Crown-grant
fee, within thirty days from date of sale, otherwise the one-
fifth deposited to be absolutely forfeited, and the sale to be
null and void.

auction, at the Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on
Wednesday, the 14th August, 1895, at 12 o'clock noon.

the fall of the hammer, and lease to be executed within
thirty days of lessee being called upon to do so, otherwise
the deposit of half-year's rent and lease-fee to be absolutely
forfeited, and the sale to be null and void.

Small Grazing-run, Auckland Land District, open for
Lease on Application.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 1st July, 1895.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned small
grazing-run will be open for lease on application on
and after Wednesday, the 28th day of August, 1895, at the
rental noted. In the event of more than one application
being received on the same day, the right of selection will be
decided by ballot on the following day at 11 a.m.

Whakatane County, Waimana Parish (part of University
College Endowment) : Run No. 3, containing 1,777 acres ;
annual rent, £22 4s. 4d. Term of lease, twenty-one years.

About two-thirds heavy forest, tawa, &c., balance fern and
tupaki. Situated near Whakatane Township.
