NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.

"THE MINING ACT, 1891," AND AMENDMENT ACTS, 1892,
1893, AND 1894.

Karamea (Nelson), 1st July, 1895.

To the Warden at Nelson.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a
water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes,
commencing at a point on the west side of Orchard Creek, a
tributary of the Sherry River, about two and a half miles
above the junction with it and the Sherry, and convey the
water therefrom in a cut race along the west bank of Orchard
Creek, and terminating at the claim on a terrace between
Orchard Creek and the Sherry River, about one and a half
miles from head of race.

The length of such race is one and a half miles or there-
abouts, and its intended course is east and west.

This water-race is to be constructed partly through the
following private lands belonging to William Henry Phillips,
of Tadmor: to wit—Sections 27, 26, 4, and 3, Block 15,
Wangapeka; and Section 136, Square 5, Wangapeka; the
private lands of Roderick McRae.

The mean depth of such race is about 4ft., and the mean
breadth is about 4ft., and it is proposed to divert four Govern-
ment-heads of water.

Cost of construction: £100.

Time required for construction: Three months.

Numbers and dates of miners' rights: 35911; 15th June,
1895: 35912; 15th June, 1895.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register
the Zealandia Gold-mining Company as a no-
liability company, under the provisions of "The Mining
Companies Act, 1894."

  1. The name of the company is to be the Zealandia
    Gold-mining Company (No Liability).

  2. The place of operations is at Coromandel, District of
    Hauraki.

  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at
    Nos. 10 and 11, New Zealand Insurance Buildings, Queen
    Street, Auckland.

  4. The value of the company's property, including claim
    or lease ground and machinery, is three thousand five hun-
    dred pounds.

  5. The number of shares in the company is seventy thou-
    sand, of two shillings each.

  6. The number of shares subscribed for is seventy thou-
    sand.

  7. The name of the Manager is Dennis Gilmore MacDonnell.
