Land set apart for Improved Farm Special Settlements.

A PROCLAMATION.

I
N pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by
the one hundred and sixty-second section of "The Land
Act, 1892," and of all other powers and authorities enabling
me in this behalf, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the blocks of land described in the Schedule hereto shall
be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for
special settlements.

SCHEDULE.

POTI IMPROVED FARM SPECIAL SETTLEMENT.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing
by admeasurement 108 acres, more or less, being Sections
Nos. 82, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, and 91, Block X., Ngaiire Survey
District. Bounded towards the north-east generally by Ander-
son Road, and Sections Nos. 83 and 84; towards the south-
east generally by Poti Road, Section No. 92, and again by said
Poti Road; towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 34 and
33; and towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 33 and 26,
Block X. aforesaid.

MAATA IMPROVED FARM SPECIAL SETTLEMENT.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing
by admeasurement 30 acres, more or less, being Sections
Nos. 26, 27, and 28, Block XI., Ngaiire Survey District.
Bounded towards the north and north-east by Anderson Road;
towards the south-east by Section No. 29, Block XI. afore-
said; and towards the west by Maata Road.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies;
and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at
the Government House, at Wellington, this

twenty-fifth day of June, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

A PROCLAMATION.

W
HEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been acquired under the provisions of "The
Land for Settlements Act, 1894" (hereinafter termed "the
said Act"), and the purchase thereof has been concluded as
by the said Act is provided: And whereas it is enacted by
the said Act that all land so acquired shall be proclaimed as
Crown land subject to the provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of
the power and authority conferred by the said Act, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on the date of the publication hereof in the
New Zealand Gazette, be and be deemed to be Crown land
subject to the provisions of "The Land for Settlements Act,
1894."

SCHEDULE.

TAHAWAI SETTLEMENT.

All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by
admeasurement 67 acres and 38 perches, more or less, being
Subdivision No. 7 of original Section No. 5, Block I., Kurow
Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Sub-
division No. 6 of Section No. 5 aforesaid; towards the north-
east by a public road along the southern bank of the Waitaki
River; towards the south-east by the Kurow River, and
Section No. 13, Block I. aforesaid; and towards the south-
west by a public road (Kurow to Oamaru): as the same is
delineated on the plan marked S.G. 18895, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon edged red.
