Lands set apart for Improved Farm Special Settlements,
Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
by the one hundred and sixty-second section of “The
Land Act, 1892,” and of all other powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the block of land described in the Schedule
hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared
open for special settlement.
SCHEDULE.
MANGATU IMPROVED FARM SPECIAL SETTLEMENT.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1,100 acres, more or less, being Sections
Nos. 3 to 13, inclusive, Block XI., Waipoua Survey District.
Bounded towards the north by Block VIII., Waipoua Survey
District; towards the east by Tutamoe Survey District;
towards the south by Crown land; and towards the west by
a public road.
AWATUNA IMPROVED FARM SPECIAL SETTLEMENT.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1,000 acres, more or less, being Sections
Nos. 1 to 8, inclusive, Block VIII., Waipoua Survey District,
and Sections Nos. 1 and 2, Block V., Tutamoe Survey Dis-
trict. Bounded towards the north by Crown land; towards
the east by Crown land; towards the south generally by a
public road and Crown land; and towards the north-west by
a public road.
KATUI IMPROVED FARM SPECIAL SETTLEMENT.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1,000 acres, more or less, being Sections
Nos. 8 to 17, inclusive, Block X., Waipoua Survey District.
Bounded towards the north generally by a public road;
towards the east by Crown land; towards the south-east by
a public road; towards the south-west by Section No. 2;
and towards the west by Crown land.
RANGATIRA IMPROVED FARM SPECIAL SETTLEMENT.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1,400 acres, more or less, situated in
Block IV., Waipoua Survey District, and Block I., Tutamoe
Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Crown
land; towards the east by Crown land; towards the south
by Crown land and the Hokianga-Opanake Road; and
towards the west by the said Hokianga-Opanake Road.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of
May, in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-five.

Land taken for a Road in Wairau Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
are required to be taken, under “The Public Works
Act, 1894,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a
road in the Wairau Road District:
And whereas the Wairau Road Board has laid before the
Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the
statutory declaration, required by the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public
Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority
in anyway enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that, from and after the date of the publication
hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in
the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the
construction of the said road.
