Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Wellington, 1st May, 1895.
COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-men-
tioned applications for Letters Patent have been ac-
cepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from the
date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate,
of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in
such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee
of 10s. is payable with such notice :—
No. 6875.—28th May, 1894.—Rose Mary Shelley, of
High Street, London, England, married. An invention for
improvements in combination garments. (Specification,
4s. 6d.; drawings, 5s.)
No. 7004.—27th July, 1894.—Charles Byers, of Christ-
church, New Zealand, Baker. An invention for an im-
proved apparatus for making pie-shells. (Specification, 8s.;
drawings, 10s.)
No. 7008.—23rd July, 1894.—Frederick James Porter,
of Karangahape Road, Auckland, New Zealand, Dyer and
Cleaner. An invention for pressing cloth, linen, or any-
thing that needs pressing, or for laundry work, to be called
"Porter's Quick and Effective Presser." (Specification, 5s.)
No. 7016.—31st July, 1894.—John Algen Belk, of Field-
ing, New Zealand, Coachbuilder. An invention for improve-
ments in the rolling-stock of railways, tramways, and the

No. 7396.—30th January, 1895.—Henry Shute, of Cecil
Street, Ashfield, New South Wales, Surveyor (assignee of
Carl Cederberg, of Harris Street, Granville, New South
Wales, Painter). An invention for improvements in vene-
tian blinds and in the means employed for operating and
adjusting the slats of same. (Specification, 17s. 6d.; draw-
ings, 15s.)

Sydney, New South Wales, Electrician. An invention for
an improved mode of connecting the parts of a telephone

No. 7534.—4th April, 1895.—Richard Arthur Hervey,
of Sydney, New South Wales, Machinery Merchant (assignee
of Henry Edwards, of Sydney aforesaid, Mechanic). An in-
vention for nut-lock. (Specification, 4s.; drawings, 5s.)
No. 7535.—1st April, 1895.—John McGregor, of Cumber-
land Street North, Dunedin, New Zealand, Engineer. An
invention for cooling air for general refrigerating purposes,
to be called "The Wall Refrigerator." (Specification, 2s.;
drawings, 7s. 6d.)
No. 7540.—6th April, 1895.—William Henry Gaze, of
Palmerston Street, Westport, New Zealand, Metallurgical
Chemist. An invention for improvements in milk-testing, so
as to more cheaply, accurately, and readily ascertain the
percentage of butter-fats in any given sample of milk, by
means of an apparatus to be known as "The Reliance But-
ter-finder," and of a chemical compound for use therewith.

Prat, Valparaiso, Chili, Engineer. An invention for improve-
ments in automatic apparatus for recording the number of
passengers in railway and other vehicles, and also the
number of persons entering or leaving buildings or the like.

pasteurising or sterilising and cooling beers, and for aerating
