Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 17th April, 1895.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-men-
tioned applications for Letters Patent have been ac-
cepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from
the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate,
of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in
such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee
of 10s. is payable with such notice:—

No. 6926.—27th June, 1894.—THOMAS COOK BAYLDON,
Master Mariner, and GEORGE PHILIP HILTON, Mining Engi-
neer, both of Thames, New Zealand. An invention for
improvements for the diminution of surface-friction or skin-
resistance of vessels and bodies moving in or on water or
other liquids. (Specification, 15s.; drawings, 5s.)*

No. 7210.—16th October, 1894.—P. AND D. DUNCAN
(LIMITED), of Christchurch, New Zealand, Agricultural
Engineers (assignees of James Keir, of Ashburton, New Zea-
land). An invention for an improved cultivator with spring
tines. (Specification, 10s. 6d.; drawings, £1.)*
[NOTE.—Owing to a misapprehension on the part of the appli-
cants, the acceptance of this complete specification was published
(Gazette No. 14, of 21st February, 1895) without the name of the
actual inventor being stated, and corrected notice is therefore
now inserted.]

No. 7346.—21st December, 1894.—P. AND D. DUNCAN
(LIMITED), of Christchurch, New Zealand, Agricultural
Engineers (assignees of James Keir, of Ashburton, New Zea-
land). An invention for an improved cultivator. (Specifica-

No. 7501.—21st March, 1895.—HARRY ALBERT ATKINSON
and RICHARD TOMLINE, both of 71, Cathedral Square,
Christchurch, New Zealand, Engineers (assignees of William
Angus, of Sydenham, Christchurch aforesaid, Blacksmith).
An invention for improved means for attaching coulter to
ploughs and other agricultural implements. (Specifica-
tion, 6s.; drawings, 5s.)

No. 7528.—2nd April, 1895.—SAMUEL PERRY CLEMENTS,
of 42, Lambton Quay, Wellington, New Zealand, Blind-
manufacturer. An invention for an improved clip for vene-
tian-blinds. (Specification, 6s.; drawings, 5s.)

No. 7529.—4th April, 1895.—RANALD MACINTOSH MAC-
DONALD, of 71, Cathedral Square, Christchurch, New Zea-
land, Engineer. An invention for improvements in total-
isators. (Specification, 17s. 6d.; drawings, £1 5s.)

No. 7530.—28th March, 1895.—WILLIAM VALENTINE TRE-
SEDER, of Clyde Street, Dunedin, New Zealand, Manufac-
turer. An invention for improvements in axle-boxes and
bearings for railway-carriages and wagons. (Specification,
4s. 6d.; drawings, 17s. 6d.)

No. 7531.—1st April, 1895.—CHARLES ALLAN SEAGER, of
Christchurch, New Zealand, Electrical Engineer. An inven-
tion for a new or improved tool for cutting the metal lining
of packing-cases, or for other suchlike purposes. (Specifica-
tion, 5s.; drawings, 5s.)

No. 7533.—4th April, 1895.—FRANK PHELPS, Secretary of
the Simplex Window-fittings Company (Limited), and PHILIP
Daw, Draughtsman, both of 63, Temple Row Birmingham,

England. An invention for improvements in the construc-
tion of window-sashes and fittings and fastenings for the
same. (Specification, 11s. 6d.; drawings, 17s. 6d.)

No. 7539.—6th April, 1895.—WILLIAM ASHTON GRAHAM, of
St. Martin's, Opawa, Canterbury, New Zealand, Manufac-
turer. An invention for a composition to be used as a pre-
ventive or cure for foot-rot in sheep. (Specification, 3s. 6d.)

estimate of the amount required for copying the drawings
have been inserted after the notice of each application. Any
order for a copy or copies should be accompanied by a post-
office order or postal notes for the cost of copying.

An asterisk (*) denotes the complete specification of an in-
vention for which a provisional specification has been already
lodged.

The date of acceptance of each application is given after
the number.

ceston, Tasmania, Boot and Shoe Manufacturer and Im-
porter. An invention for an improvement in the manufacture
of lace-boots.

No. 7532.—3rd April, 1895.—DAVID CHARLES STREETER,
of Halswell, Canterbury, New Zealand, Forger's Helper. An
invention for a new or improved valve for automatically
regulating the supply of steam to turbine cream-separators.

No. 7541.—5th April, 1895.—ASA NORMAN WHITNEY, of
the Melbourne Club, Collins Street, Melbourne, Victoria,
Master Mariner and Engineer. An invention for improve-
ments in lay or inanimate objects or missiles for the use of
sportsmen, called "The Inanimate Feathered Bird."

their contents made known by this office in any way, until
the complete specifications in connection therewith have
been accepted.
