Regulations under “The Land and Income Assessment Act, 1891,” and its Amendments.

GLASGOW, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of March, 1895.

Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of all powers and authorities vested in him by or under “The Land and Income Assessment
Act, 1891,” and its amendments, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the following regulations for the purposes of the
said Acts, that is to say :—

REGULATIONS.

  1. The forms of return of land and mortgages required by the said Acts to be made by or on behalf of a person or com-
    pany shall be those set forth in the Schedules A and B respectively, attached hereto, in lieu of the forms prescribed in that
    behalf by the regulations made by Order in Council bearing date the 31st day of October, 1891.

  2. The forms of return of income required by the said Acts to be made by or on behalf of persons, trading companies,
    fire insurance companies, life insurance companies, and gold-mining companies shall be those set forth in the Schedules
    C, D, E, F, and G respectively, attached hereto, in lieu of the forms prescribed in that behalf by the regulations made by
    Order in Council bearing date the 10th day of May, 1893.

And in further pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent
aforesaid, His said Excellency doth hereby direct that the regulations herein contained shall henceforth be read and con-
strued as part of the regulations made on the 31st day of October, 1891, and on the 10th day of May, 1893, as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE A.

“THE LAND AND INCOME ASSESSMENT ACT, 1891.”

In pursuance of the above Act, and of the regulations made thereunder, every owner of land and every owner of mortgages
is required to fill up the following return as far as the same is applicable to his particular case, and deliver the same at, or
forward it by post to, the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Wellington, not later than , 189 .

[Note.—Any person failing or neglecting to furnish a return, or any person making a false return, is liable to a penalty of not less
than £5 nor more than £100, and to pay treble extra duty.]

Return of the Land and Mortgages of

[Name in full], [postal address], [occupation], made in pursuance of “The Land and Income Assessment Act, 1891,” and
the regulations thereunder, so far as respects all land owned by me and all mortgages held by me as at noon on the
31st day of March, 189 , according to the several particulars hereinafter set forth, and of deductions at such date as
are allowed by law.

Ordinary Tax.

Land owned by me (particulars at back hereof) according to
its unimproved value .. .. .. £

according to the actual value thereof to me as mortgagee,
