Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 20th March, 1895.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-men-
tioned applications for Letters Patent have been ac-
cepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from the
date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate,
of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in
such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee
of 10s. is payable with such notice:—

No. 6899.—12th June, 1894.—WILLIAM TOOGOOD, of
Featherston, New Zealand, Storekeeper. An invention for
an improved scutching and fibre-dressing machine. (Speci-
fication, 8s.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)*

No. 6936.—30th June, 1894.—JAMES DOBIE SCOULER, of
Armidale, New South Wales, Engineer. An invention for
improvements in sheep-shearing machines. (Specification,
7s.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)*

No. 7003.—27th July, 1894.—GEORGE THOMAS BOOTH, of
Christchurch, New Zealand, Engineer, and JOHN WHALL, of
Darfield, Canterbury, New Zealand, Blacksmith. An inven-
tion for improvements in hedge-cutting machines. (Speci-
fication, 11s. 6d.; drawings, 12s. 6d.)*

No. 7017.—2nd August, 1894.—VALBORG EMMILIE POPPENS, of
Meat Market Hotel, Victoria Street, North
Melbourne, Victoria, Married Woman. An invention for
improvements in sanitary or commode pails and like recep-
tacles and in lids therefor. (Specification, 13s.; drawings,
10s.)*

No. 7434.—20th February, 1895.—THE RICHARDSEN AND
SCHROEDER PATENT SMOKE-CONSUMING, FUEL-ECONOMIZING,
AND STEAM-BOILER COMPANY (LIMITED), a company regis-
tered in New South Wales under the Companies Act of 1874
of Sydney, New South Wales (Assignees of Joseph Richard-
sen, of Sydney, aforesaid, Boiler-maker). An invention for
improvements in steam-boilers and furnaces for the same.

titled "Telfer's Safety Holdback," an improvement in

Lambton Quay, Wellington, New Zealand, Sailor.—An in-
vention for improved apparatus for launching boats. (Speci-

Wiesenstrasse, Leipsic-Eutritzsch, Germany, Manufacturer.
An invention for arrangement for starting gas- and petroleum-

No. 7488.—16th March, 1895.—CHARLES EWING, of Bar-
rackpore, Bengal, British India, Civil Engineer. An inven-
tion for rolling-stock for use on single-rail tramways or
railways. (Specification, 7s. 6d.; drawings, £2.)

No. 7489.—19th March, 1895.—THOMAS HARVEY JAMES,
Architect, and GEORGE HART SAYWELL, Carriage-builder,
both of Feilding, New Zealand. An invention for improve-
ments in apparatus for starting races. (Specification, 4s.;
drawings, 5s.)

estimate of the amount required for copying the drawings
have been inserted after the notice of each application. Any
order for a copy or copies should be accompanied by a post-
office order or postal notes for the cost of copying.

An asterisk (*) denotes the complete specification of an in-
vention for which a provisional specification has been already
lodged.

The date of acceptance of each application is given after
the number.

tion entitled "Graf's Automatic Artificial Foot."

No. 7473.—6th March, 1895.—WILLIAM ECKERSLEY, of
Albury, New South Wales, Miner, and ROBERT LANGFORD,
of Spencer Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Merchant. An in-
vention for an improved method of and material to be used
in saving fine gold from auriferous tailings or the like.

No. 7475.—9th March, 1895.—GEORGE EDWARD HUM-
PHRIES, of Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand, Carpenter
and Builder. An invention for an improved wire-strainer.
