Notice of Inquiry under Section 118 of "The Native Land
Court Act, 1894."

WHEREAS William Nelson, of Tomoana, Hawke's Bay,
a person claiming to have purchased from certain of
the Native owners shares or interests in the Whenuahou D E
No. 2 Block, and to have been prior to the date of the passing
of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," in negotiation for
the purchase of certain other shares or interests therein, has
notified such claim to the Chief Judge of the Native Land
Court, and to the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the
Napier District, and has requested that an inquiry into the
circumstances thereof may be held, as provided by section 118
of the said Act: And whereas the Chief Judge has referred
the said claim to Herbert Frank Edger, Esq., a Judge of the
Native Land Court, for inquiry as aforesaid: I hereby give
notice that such inquiry will be held at the Native Land
Court House, at Hastings, on the 12th day of March, 1895,
at 10 a.m.

Notice of Inquiry under Section 118 of "The Native Land
Court Act, 1894."

WHEREAS George Beetham, of Wellington, Charles
Edward Beetham and Norman Beetham, both of Te
Apiti, Hawke's Bay, persons claiming to have leased from cer-
tain of the Native owners shares or interests in the Te Apiti
No. 2D Block, and to have been prior to the date of the passing
of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," in negotiation for
the lease of certain other shares or interests therein, have
notified such claim to the Chief Judge of the Native Land
Court, and to the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the
Napier District, and have requested that an inquiry into the
circumstances thereof may be held as provided by section 118
of the said Act: And whereas the Chief Judge has referred
the said claim to Herbert Frank Edger, Esq., a Judge of the
Native Land Court, for inquiry as aforesaid: I hereby give
notice that such inquiry will be held at the Native Land
Court House, Hastings, on the 12th day of March, 1895, at
10 a.m.

Notice of Inquiry under Section 118 of "The Native Land
Court Act, 1894."

WHEREAS James Barber, Henry Barber, and Edward
Barber, of Himatangi, sheep-farmers, persons claim-
ing to have leased from certain of the Native owners shares
or interests in the Himatangi Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 Blocks,
and to have been prior to the date of the passing of "The
Native Land Court Act, 1894," in negotiation for the lease
of other shares or interests therein, have notified such claim
to the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, and to the
Commissioner of Crown Lands for the Wellington District,
and have requested that an inquiry into the circumstances
thereof may be held as provided by section 118 of the said
Act: And whereas the Chief Judge has referred the said
claim to Alexander Mackay, Esq., a Judge of the Native
Land Court, for inquiry as aforesaid: I hereby give notice
that such inquiry will be held at the Native Land Court
House, Sydney Street, Wellington, on the 20th day of March,
1895, at 10 a.m.

Notice of Inquiry under Section 118 of "The Native Land
Court Act, 1894."

WHEREAS Thomas William Fisher, of Waitotara,
farmers, a person claiming to have purchased from
certain of the Native owners shares or interests in the
Kaharoa No. 3 Block, and to have been prior to the date of
the passing of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," in
negotiation for the purchase of certain other shares or in-
terests therein, has notified such claim to the Chief Judge
of the Native Land Court, and to the Commissioner of Crown
Lands for the Wellington District, and has requested that
an inquiry into the circumstances thereof may be held as
provided by section 118 of the said Act: And whereas the
Chief Judge has referred the said claim to Robert Ward,
Esq., a Judge of the Native Land Court, for inquiry as
aforesaid: I hereby give notice that such inquiry will be
held at the Native Land Court House, Whanganui, on the
11th day of March, 1895, at 10 a.m.

appeared in Gazette No. 13, of the 21st February, 1895, page

Notice of Inquiry under Section 118 of "The Native Land

WHEREAS Edward Joshua Riddiford, of Lower Hutt,
sheep-farmer, a person claiming to have purchased
from Tapita Matina, one of the Native owners thereof, her
share or interest in the Taonui-Ahuaturanga Section 6%
No. 3 Block, and to have been prior to the date of the
passing of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," in
negotiation for the purchase of other shares or interests
therein, has notified such claim to the Chief Judge of the
Native Land Court, and to the Commissioner of Crown
Lands for the Wellington District, and has requested that
an inquiry into the circumstances thereof may be held as
provided by section 118 of the said Act: And whereas the
Chief Judge has referred the said claim to Herbert William
Brabant, Esq., a Judge of the Native Land Court, for
inquiry as aforesaid: I hereby give notice that such
inquiry will be held at the Stipendiary Magistrate's Court
House, Palmerston North, on the 15th day of March, 1895,
at 10 a.m.

Notice of Inquiry under Section 118 of "The Native Land

WHEREAS George Henry Luxford, of Wellington,
gentleman, a person claiming to have purchased
from Winia Paora, one of the Native owners thereof, her
share or interest in the Rangitikei-Manawatu B1, and to
have been prior to the date of the passing of "The Native
Land Court Act, 1894," in negotiation for the purchase of
certain other shares or interests therein, has notified such
claim to the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, and
to the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the Wellington
District, and has requested that an inquiry into the cir-
cumstances thereof may be held as provided by section
118 of the said Act: And whereas the Chief Judge has
referred the said claim to Herbert William Brabant, Esq.,
a Judge of the Native Land Court, for inquiry as aforesaid:
I hereby give notice that such inquiry will be held at the
Stipendiary Magistrate's Court House, Palmerston North,
on the 15th day of March, 1895, at 10 a.m.

North, gentleman, a person claiming to have leased

Aorangi No. 3E Block, and to have been prior to the date of
the passing of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," in nego-
tiation for the lease of certain other shares or interests
therein, has notified such claim to the Chief Judge of the
Native Land Court, and to the Commissioner of Crown
Lands for the Wellington District, and has requested that an
inquiry into the circumstances thereof may be held as pro-
vided by section 118 of the said Act: And whereas the Chief
Judge has referred the said claim to Herbert William
Brabant, Esq., a Judge of the Native Land Court, for inquiry
as aforesaid: I hereby give notice that such inquiry will
be held at the Stipendiary Magistrate's Court House, Pal-
merston North, on the 15th day of March, 1895, at 10 a.m.

tion for the lease of certain other shares or interests therein,
has notified such claim to the Chief Judge of the Native
Land Court, and to the Commissioner of Crown Lands for
the Wellington District, and has requested that an inquiry
into the circumstances thereof may be held as provided by
section 118 of the said Act: And whereas the Chief Judge
has referred the said claim to Herbert William Brabant,
Esq., a Judge of the Native Land Court, for inquiry as afore-
said: I hereby give notice that such inquiry will be held
at the Stipendiary Magistrate's Court House, Palmerston
North, on the 15th day of March, 1895, at 10 a.m.
