Smail Grazing-runs open for Leasc on Application.

NOTICE is herchy given that the under-mentioned small grazing-runs will be open for leasc on application, at the District Lands Office, on and after the 3rd April, 1895, at the half-yearly rcntal noted opposite the runs. In case of more than one application for the runs on the same day, priority of selection will be decided by ballat on the following day, at 11 a.m.

Good grazing-country, containing capital homestcad sitcs; well watered, but rather cut up by water-races. Sitaated from one to two miles from Livings tone, and seven miles from Torokahi Railway-station. Section 54 is subject to valuation for fencisg to the extent of £19 19s., which amount must be lodgcd with the application or paid immediately the result of the ballat is declared.

CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

  1. The term of leasc is twcnty-onc years, with the option of renewa for a further period of twcnty-onc years at a rent to be fixed by valuation, and improvemcnts being securcd to lessee as provided by "The Land Act, 1892," section 182. Each lessee is required to make the declaratian as per form printcd below.

  2. No person can leasc more than one run.

  3. Rcsidcnce on the run is compulsory, and commences within three years in brush or swampland, and within one year in open or partiy open land, unless the lessee obtain the consent of the Land Board to resido on other land in his occupancy.

  4. Permanent improvcmcnts must be effected equal to one year's rcntal by the end of the first year, two years' rcntal by the end of the second year, and four years' rcntal at the end of the sixih year; and on brush land, in addition thereto, improvcmcnts must be made to the value of 10s. an acrc if first-class land, or of 5s. an acrc if second-class land.

  5. One half-year's rent and £1 1s. for the leasc must be paid immediately the application is declared successful; the rent to be paid half-yearly in advance during the term of the leasc. The next payment of rent will become due on the 1st March, 1896.

  6. The lessee has no right to purchase any part of the land; but he can select 150 acrcs around the homestcad through which no road can be taken or other public privilcge exerciscd without compensatian.

Note.—One-faurth of the rent paid during the first fifteen years is returned to the local body, to be spent in imoroving the access to the land.

  1. That I am of the age of sventeen years and upwarrls.

  2. That I am the person who, subject to the provisians of "The Land Act, 1892," am desirous of becoming the pur-chaser of a leasc of Run No.†

  3. That I am purc hasing such leasc solcly for my own use and benefit, and not directly or indirecly for the use of any other person or persons whatever.

  4. That I am not already the holder of any such leasc in any part of the colany, nor have I any interest in any such leasc.

  5. That I am not the holder of any run under Part VJ. of the aforesaid Act, nor have I any interest in any such run.

  6. That I do not own any freehold land or land held by leasc or license of any kind whatever anywhere in the colany, either by myself or jointly with any other person, which, exclusive of the land I am now purc hasing the leasc of, will exceed in area 1,000 acers.
