Alterations and Additions to the Scale of Fares and Charges
in Force upon the New Zealand Government Railways.

THE New Zealand Railway Commissioners, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers conferred by "The
Government Railways Act, 1887," do hereby make the fol-
lowing alterations in and additions to the scale of fares,
rates, and charges on the New Zealand Government rail-
ways, to come into force on and after the tenth day of
December, 1894:—

PART I.—PASSENGERS.

Tickets for return journeys are available for return for one
calendar month from the date of issue.

The Commissioners do not guarantee the operation of the
fares over the New Zealand Midland Railway Company's
railway, except so far as may be agreed upon from time to
time between the said company and Messrs. Cook and Son's
agent.

Tickets for these tours are issued subject to the conditions
contained in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 46, of the 28th
August, 1890.

THE following notices, received from the Chairman of the
Kiwitea County Council, are published in accordance
with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

THE following is the result of the poll on the proposal to
borrow £1,000 for construction of Perry's Road extension and
Haynes's Road:—
Ratepayers on roll, 31, representing 65 votes: Number of
votes recorded for proposal, 51; number of ratepayers
voting, 23; votes recorded against proposal, nil.
As a majority in number of the ratepayers voted in favour
of the proposal, and the number so voting are entitled to
more than one-half of the votes that can be exercised by the

whole number of ratepayers, I hereby declare the proposal
to be carried.

As a majority in number of the ratepayers voted in favour
of the proposal, and the number so voting are entitled to
more than one-half of the votes that can be exercised by the
whole number of ratepayers, I hereby declare the proposal
to be carried.
