Defining the Middle Line of Further Portion of the Catlin's
River Branch of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Waitaki-Bluff Railway, with a branch
from the main line to Catlin's River, is one of the
railways specified in the First Schedule to "The Public
Works Act, 1879," which Act is, in the seventh section
thereof, declared to be a special Act authorising the con-
struction of such railway; and such railway is unfinished,
and it has been determined to construct and maintain a
further portion of the same:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of
the powers and authorities conferred on me by the aforesaid
section seven of "The Public Works Act, 1879," and by sec-
tions one hundred and sixty-six and one hundred and sixty-
seven of "The Public Works Act, 1894," and in exercise of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle
line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be as
defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

Commencing at a point on the southern boundary of Section
No. 26, Block IX., Glenomaru Survey District, distant about
1160 links from the south-west corner thereof, the said point
being the termination of the portion of the railway as
described in a Proclamation dated the 13th June, 1891, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 47, of the 25th
June, 1891; proceeding thence generally in a southerly
direction for a distance of about 3 miles 21 chains, and
passing in, into, through, or over the following lands—viz.,
Sections Nos. 46, 20, and 21, Block IX.; Sections Nos. 25
and 29, Block VII.; Sections Nos. 109, 74, 19, 20, 29
(Educational reserve), 11, 1, and 3, Block VIII.—and termi-
nating at a point on the western boundary of said Section
No. 3, Block VIII., distant about 2200 links from the
southern boundary thereof; including all adjoining and
intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, streams, rivers,
and watercourses; all in the Glenomaru Survey District,
in the Provincial District of Otago: as the same is de-
linedated on the plan marked P.W.D. 17263, a copy of which
has been deposited in the office of the Registrar of the
Supreme Court, at Dunedin, in the said Provincial District
of Otago.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,

Railway to the Mokihinui River.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for the extension of the
Westport-Ngakawau Railway to the Mokihinui River:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to
be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land
in the manner hereby provided have been observed and per-
formed:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and
sixty-seven of "The Public Works Act, 1894," and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land men-
tioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the extension of
the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.
