Result of Polls for Proposed Loans, Pouawa Road Board,
County of Cook.

THE following notices, received from the Chairman of
the Pouawa Road Board, are published in accordance
with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

POUAWA ROAD BOARD.—RIMUROA SPECIAL DISTRICT.
I HEREBY give notice that, at a poll of the ratepayers of this
special district, taken on Tuesday, 16th October, 1894, upon
a proposal by this Board to raise a loan of £400 for the
purpose of constructing a dray-road from the south boundary
of Section 17, Whataupoko G, to the north boundary of
Section 26, and a cross road from its junction with aforesaid
road to the eastern bank of the Waimata River, within the
Pouawa Road District, the following votes were recorded :—
For the proposal, 7 voters, exercising 14 votes: Number of
ratepayers in special district, 10, exercising 17 votes.
As a majority of ratepayers on the special roll, exercising
more than one-half of the number of votes exercisable, voted
in favour of the proposal, I hereby declare it carried.

POUAWA ROAD BOARD.—POUAWA WEST SPECIAL DISTRICT.
I HEREBY give notice that, at a poll of the ratepayers of this
special district, taken on Wednesday, 10th October, 1894,
upon a proposal by this Board to raise a loan of £400 for the
purpose of constructing a dray-road on the south side of the
Manganui Stream, within the Pouawa Road District, the
following votes were recorded :—
For the proposal, 3 voters, exercising 4 votes: Number of
ratepayers on special roll, 4, exercising 5 votes.
As a majority of ratepayers on the special roll, exercising
more than one-half of the number of votes exercisable, voted
in favour of the proposal, I hereby declare it carried.

THE following special orders, made by the Fitzherbert
Road Board, are published in accordance with the pro-
visions of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

FITZHERBERT ROAD BOARD.
SPECIAL orders made by the Fitzherbert Road Board at a
special meeting held on Thursday, the 20th day of Septem-
ber, 1894 :—
"For the purpose of paying interest and other annual
charges on a loan of £90, to be raised under sections 21 and
22 of 'The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,'
being 10 per centum of the loan of £900 originally autho-
rised for the construction of the portion of the Turitea Road
from the northern boundary of Section 269, Block XVI.,
Kairanga Survey District, to the southern corner of Sec-
tion 276, Block III., Arawaru Survey District, to make a
special rate of 1/10d. in the pound on the rateable value of the
following sections: 269, 270, Block XVI., Kairanga Survey
District; 258, Block XV., Kairanga Survey District; 259,
261, 263, 263A, 264, 273, 275, 275A, 276, Block III., Arawaru
Survey District; 271, 272, and 274, Block IV., Arawaru Sur-
vey District, and all within the Fitzherbert Road District:
such rate to be an annually-recurring rate for a period of
twenty-six years, and shall be payable at the office of the
Fitzherbert Road Board in two instalments—viz., on the 1st
day of February and the 1st day of August in each year.
"Also, For the purpose of paying interest and other annual
charges on a loan of £40, to be raised under sections 21 and
22 of 'The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,'
being 10 per centum of the loan of £400 originally autho-
rised for the construction of that portion of Scott's Road
from the western angle of the southern boundary of Sec-
tion 348 to a point about 9 chains on the eastern side of the
western boundary of Section 319, both sections being in
Block VI., Arawaru Survey District, to make a special rate
of 1/5d. in the pound on the rateable value of the following
sections: Part 319, part 320, 321, part 333, 354, 355, 357,
part 358, and 359, Block VI., Arawaru Survey District, and
within the Fitzherbert Road District: such rate to be an
annually-recurring rate for a period of twenty-six years, and
shall be payable at the office of the Fitzherbert Road Board
in two instalments—viz., on the 1st day of February and the
1st day of August in each year.

"Also, For the purpose of providing interest and other
annual charges on a loan of £90, to be raised under sections
21 and 22 of 'The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act,
1886,' being 10 per centum of the loan of £900 originally
authorised for the construction of the portion of the Kahute-
rawa Road from the north-west boundary of Section 307,
Block VII., Arawaru Survey District, to about 10 chains
past the north-east corner of Section 317, Block VIII., Ara-
waru Survey District, to make a special rate of 1/10d. in the
pound on the rateable value of the following sections: 322,
323, and 324, Block VI., Arawaru Survey District; 307, 308,
309, 310, 311, 312, 325, 326, 327, and 328, Block VII., Arawaru
Survey District; 313, 314, part 315, part 316, part 317, and
part 318, Block VIII., Arawaru Survey District: such rate
to be an annually-recurring rate for a period of twenty-six
years, and shall be payable at the office of the Fitzherbert
Road Board in two instalments—viz., on the 1st day of
February and the 1st day of August in each year.
"Also, For the purpose of paying interest and other charges
on a loan of £45, to be raised under sections 21 and 22 of
'The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,' being
10 per centum of the loan of £450 originally authorised for
the construction of two bridges over the Tiritea Stream, in
Ward No. 2 of the Fitzherbert Road District, to make a
special rate of 1/4d. in the pound on the rateable value of the
following sections: 181, 182, 255, 214, 215, 235, 236, 257,
287, 266, 267, 288, and 258, Block XV., Kairanga Survey
District; 268 and 269, Block XVI., Kairanga Survey Dis-
trict; 261, 259, 263, 263A, 275, 275A, 264, and 276, Block III.,
Arawaru Survey District; and 274, 270, 271, 272, and 273,
Block VI., Arawaru Survey District: such rate to be an
annually-recurring rate for a period of twenty-six years, and
shall be payable at the office of the Fitzherbert Road Board
in two instalments—viz., on the 1st day of February and the
1st day of August in each year.
"Also, For the purpose of paying interest and other annual
charges on a loan of £45, to be raised under sections 21 and
22 of 'The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,'
being 10 per centum of the loan of £450 originally authorised
for the construction of the portion of the Kahutetawa Road
from the north-west corner of Section 307, Block VII., Ara-
waru Survey District, to four chains (more or less) beyond
the northern corner of Section 317, Block VIII., Arawaru
Survey District, both sections being in the Fitzherbert Road
District, to make a special rate of 1/4d. in the pound on the
rateable value of the following sections: 322, 323, 324,
Block VI., Arawaru Survey District; 307, 308, 309, 310, 311,
312, 325, 326, 327, and 328, Block VII., Arawaru Survey
District; and 313, 314, part 315, part 316, part 317, part 318,
Block VIII., Arawaru Survey District, and all within the
Fitzherbert Road District: such rate to be an annually-
recurring rate for a period of twenty-six years, and shall be
payable at the office of the Fitzherbert Road Board in two
instalments—viz., on the 1st day of February and the 1st
day of August in each year."
I hereby certify that the foregoing special orders have been
duly made by the Fitzherbert Road Board, as required by
"The Road Boards Act, 1882."

FITZHERBERT ROAD BOARD.
SPECIAL order made by the Fitzherbert Road Board, County
of Oroua, at a special meeting held on Thursday, the 19th day
of July, 1894, and confirmed at a special meeting held on
Thursday, the 23rd day of August, 1894 :—
"That it is the intention of the Fitzherbert Road Board to
make by-laws to regulate the traffic over roads and bridges in
the Fitzherbert Road District, and to prevent the obstruction
of roads."
I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly
made by the Fitzherbert Road Board, as required by "The
Road Boards Act, 1882."
