AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL.
WAIKATO PLAINS WATER-RACE DISTRICT.
THE following is the result of a poll of the ratepayers
taken on the 29th day of September, 1894, on a pro-
posal to borrow the further sum of £1,000, under "The
Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the pur-
pose of constructing new head-works to, and extending and
repairing, the Waikato Plains Water-races:—
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 4, representing 19
votes: Number of ratepayers who voted for proposal, 3,
representing 15 votes; number of ratepayers who voted
against the proposal, nil, representing nil votes.
As the number of ratepayers voting and the number of
votes recorded for the proposal is in each case a majority of
the total number on the roll, I therefore declare the proposal
carried.

Chairman, Amuri County Council.
