A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Act, 1892” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and the purchase thereof has been concluded as by the said Act is provided: And whereas it is enacted by the said Act that all land so acquired shall be proclaimed as Crown land subject to the provisions of the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, on the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, be and be deemed to be Crown land subject to the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Act, 1892.”

SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Land District of Otago, situate in the Pomahaka Survey District, containing by admeasurement 7,462 acres 3 roods 1 perch, more or less, being part of Section 1, the whole of Section 2, parts of Sections 3, 18, 19, 34, and 1 of 35, the whole of Sections 2 of 35 and 51, all of Block X., Pomahaka Survey District; part of Section 32, the whole of Sections 48, 49, 1 of 50, 2 of 50, 45, and 44, all of Block XI., Pomahaka Survey District; part of Section 7, the whole of Sections 8, 18, 19, and part of Section 20, Block XII., Pomahaka Survey District; Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 1 of 11, 2 of 11, 12, 13, 1 of 14, 2 of 14, 15, 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 1 of 32, 2 of 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 1 of 37, and 2 of 37, all of Block XIII., Pomahaka Survey District; Sections 4, 5, 1 of 6, 2 of 6, 7, 8, 9, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 31, 32, and 33, all of Block XIV., Pomahaka Survey District; and closed roads 250R, 251R, 252R, 253R, 254R, and 255R. Bounded towards the north and east by the Pomahaka River from a point in line with the western boundary-line of Section 4, Block XIV., Pomahaka Survey District, to Section 26, Block XIV., Pomahaka Survey District; thence by the said Section 26, and Sections 1 and 7, Block XII., Pomahaka Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of Section 9, Block XIII., Pomahaka Survey District; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of Section 9, Block XII., Pomahaka Survey District; thence by the said Section 9 and Section 17 to the north-western corner of Section 20, Block XII., and crossing closed road 250R; thence by right lines through the said Section 20, and Sections 3, 1, 18, 19, 34, and 1 of 35, all of Block X., Pomahaka Survey District, to the western boundary-line of Section 36 of the last-mentioned block; thence by said Section 36, and Section 50, to the road forming the south-west-

ern boundary of Section 51, Block X., Pomahaka Survey District: thence towards the south by the said road to Section 10, Block XI.: thence towards the west generally by Sections 10 and 31, Block XI., Pomahaka Survey District, to the road forming the eastern boundary of Sections 32 and 33 of the said Block XI.; thence by the said road to the eastern boundary of the said Section 33, by said Section 33, and Section 36, to the road forming the eastern boundary of Sections 47 and 46, Block XI., Pomahaka Survey District; thence by the said road to the northern boundary of the latter section; thence by the said Section 46 to the road forming the northern boundary of Sections 2 of 40 and 41, Block XI., to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 1 of 23, Block XIII.; thence by a right line to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section, by said Section 1 of 23, closed road 257R, again by Section 1 of 23, 2 of 23, Sections 19, 16, closed road 259R, and Section 3, all of Block XIII., Pomahaka Survey District, by Sections 35, 34, closed road 258R, again by Section 34, closed road 258R, by Section 2 of 14, 1 of 14, 10, 3, closed road 256R, and again by Section 3, all of Block XIV., Pomahaka Survey District, to the place of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-eighth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown lands respectively described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for lease as a village settlement.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WAIROA SURVEY DISTRICT.
—MOMAHAKI VILLAGE SETTLEMENT.
