NOTICE to NATIVE OWNERS and LESSEE of a
MEETING to be held at the COURT HOUSE,
HAWERA, at 11 o'clock a.m. on SATURDAY, the
7th APRIL, 1894, to fix the Rent for a NEW LEASE
to WILLIAM DOUGLAS, as Administrator of the
Estate of John Douglas, deceased, of Ka-
wau, part Whareorua Reserve, in the Pro-
vincial District of Taranaki, containing 98
acres and 20 perches (more or less), being Land
comprised in confirmed Lease No. 51.

TO Tamaohungia, Puiwaitaha, Tangiora, Tu-
aiwa, Rahiri, Kunako, Te Ratoia, Wairaka,
Te Ngaruru, Te Hau te ki, Te Kau, Karoro, Rangi-

Matehaere, Te Kiri, Miriama Hinekorangi, Ko-
rei, Ngarewarerewa, Tukohu, Piki, Pua Ma-
hurangi, Pahuru, Hineao, Tukupoto, Rahirikau,
Kumenga, Mereana Hawaiki, Waikatere, Wai-
awa, Tutepurangi, and the other Native owners
of all that piece of land situate in the County of
Patea, being portion of the Whareorua Reserve,
known as "Kawau," and containing by ad-
measurement 98 acres and 20 perches (more or
less), being the land comprised in confirmed lease
No. 51, and to William Douglas, of Te Mahunga,
near Napier, sheepfarmer (as administrator of
the estate of John Douglas, deceased).

Whereas the above-named William Douglas
has given notice to me, under the provisions
of section 8 of "The West Coast Settlement
Reserves Act, 1892," that he desires to obtain
under that section a new lease of the land above
described; and I consider his application ought
to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby
appoint a meeting to take place between the said
William Douglas and all the Native owners of
the above-described land, for the purpose of fix-
ing the rent to be paid for the said land for the
first twenty-one years of the new lease; and I
fix the Courthouse, Hawera, as the place where,
and Saturday, the 7th day of April, 1894, at 11
o'clock in the forenoon, as the time when, such
meeting shall take place.

day of APRIL, 1894, to fix the Rent for a NEW
LEASE to FREDERICK TURNER of part of OTOKI
NATIVE RESERVE, in the Provincial District of
Taranaki, containing 640 acres (more or less),
being Land comprised in Confirmed Lease
No. 46.

TO Tutange, Moke Ramapiupiu, Tamawhero,
Maruera, Te Kaewa, Tuhia Rongimourihau,
Ngahota, Tupito, Ngati aha te Whetu, Ngahota,
Ngakirikiri, Te Whetu, Kopekope, Hinemahu,
and the other Native owners of all that piece of
land situate in the County of Patea, being por-
tion of the Otoki Native Reserve, in the Provin-
cial District of Taranaki, containing by admea-
surement 640 acres (more or less), being the land
comprised in Confirmed Lease No. 46, and to
Frederick Turner, of Patea, farmer, assignee:

Whereas the above-named Frederick Turner
has given notice to me, under the provisions of
section 8 of "The West Coast Settlement Re-
serves Act, 1892," that he desires to obtain under
that section a new lease of the land above de-
scribed; and I consider his application ought to
be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby
appoint a meeting to take place between the
said Frederick Turner and all the Native owners
of the above-described land, for the purpose of
fixing the rent to be paid for the said land for
the first twenty-one years of the new lease; and
I fix the Courthouse, Patea, as the place where,
and Friday, the 13th day of April, 1894, at 2
o'clock in the afternoon, as the time when, such
meeting shall take place.
