NOTICE to NATIVE OWNERS and LESSEE of a
MEETING to be held at the COURTHOUSE,
OPUNAKE, at 2 o'clock p.m. on TUESDAY, the
17th APRIL, 1894, to fix the Rent for a NEW
LEASE to ABRAHAM CLOUGH of Sections 67 and
68, Block IX., OPUNAKE, containing 101 acres
3 roods (more or less), being Land comprised
in Memorandum of Lease registered No. 602.

TO Wiremu Kingi Matakatea, Tautahi Tuwa-
hipa, Tapuorongo, Ngamare, Toto, Te Ma-
nunui, Ngaripeka, Terereiao, Koi, Te Rangi,
Wiki, Tura, Rangi Paia, Te Moko, Kura Mahiao,
Ripo, Te Aomoko, Iwituwahipa, Manaiā Pukerua,
Arapata, Reihia, Ngakiekie (Te Pokai, Heruini
Ruaroa, and Wikitoria Ngamare, trustees), Piki,
Hana, Puketoretore, Kari, Ratana, Kahui Kara-
rehe, Rongotuhiata, Manetutokiri, Karira Kau-
wau Urupa, Koraraiti Taurua, and the other
Native owners of all that piece of land situate
in the Opunake Survey District, being Sections
67 and 68, Block IX., and containing by ad-
measurement 101 acres 3 roods (more or less),
being the land comprised in memorandum of
lease registered No. 602, to Abraham Clough, of
Opunake, farmer, transferee:

Whereas the above-named Abraham Clough
has given notice to me, under the provisions of
section 8 of “The West Coast Settlement Re-
serves Act, 1892,” that he desires to obtain under
that section a new lease of the land above
described; and I consider his application ought
to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby
appoint a meeting to take place between the said
Abraham Clough and all the Native owners of the
above-described land, for the purpose of fixing
the rent to be paid for the said land for the
first twenty-one years of the new lease; and I fix
the Courthouse, Opunake, as the place where, and
Tuesday, the 17th day of April, 1894, at 2 o'clock
in the afternoon, as the time when, such meeting
shall take place.

in memorandums of leases registered Nos. 452
and 834, to Henry Parker Best, of Normanby,
settler, as transferee:

Whereas the above-named Henry Parker Best
has given notice to me, under the provisions
of section 8 of “The West Coast Settlement
Reserves Act, 1892,” that he desires to obtain
under that section a new lease of the land
above described; and I consider his applica-
tion ought to be given effect to: Now, therefore,
I do hereby appoint a meeting to take place
between the said Henry Parker Best and all
the Native owners of the above-described land,
for the purpose of fixing the rent to be
paid for the said land for the first twenty-one
years of the new lease; and I fix the Court-
house, Hawera, as the place where, and Mon-
day, the 9th day of April, 1894, at 9 o'clock in
the forenoon, as the time when, such meeting

Whereas the above-named Joseph Best has
given notice to me, under the provisions
of section 8 of “The West Coast Settle-
ment Reserves Act, 1892,” that he desires to
obtain under that section a new lease of the
land above described; and I consider his appli-
cation ought to be given effect to: Now, there-
fore, I do hereby appoint a meeting to take place
between the said Joseph Best and all the Na-
tive owners of the above-described land, for the
purpose of fixing the rent to be paid for the
said land for the first twenty-one years of the
new lease; and I fix the Courthouse, Hawera, as
the place where, and Saturday, the 7th day of
April, 1894, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, as the
time when, such meeting shall take place.

serves Act, 1892,” that he desires to obtain under
that section a new lease of the land above de-
scribed; and I consider his application ought to
be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby
appoint a meeting to take place between the
said Robert Morris and all the Native owners
of the above-described land, for the purpose of
fixing the rent to be paid for the said land for
the first twenty-one years of the new lease; and
I fix the Courthouse, Opunake, as the place
where, and Tuesday, the 17th day of April,
1894, at 9 o'clock in the forenoon, as the time
