SPECIAL ORDER.—AORANGI LAND DRAINAGE BOARD.

THAT the Aorangi Land Drainage Board adopt “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” and “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and the amendments thereto.

THE following special order, made by the Masterton Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Board of the Masterton Road District, striking a Special Rate under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf, the Board of the Masterton Road District hereby resolves as follows:—

That for the purpose of providing interest and annual charges on a loan of £700, raised under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” a special rate of 2½d. in the pound be, and the same is, hereby struck on the rateable value for the time being of Sections 36, 42, 43, 26, 39, 40, and 41, Block VI., Kopuaranga Survey District; that the said rate shall be an annually-recurring rate for a period of twenty-six years, and shall be payable at the office of the Board in two equal instalments, on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year, commencing on the 1st day of February, 1895.

Passed by the said Board this 27th day of January, 1894.

The common seal of the inhabitants of the Masterton Road District was affixed hereto in the presence of—

Special Order made by the Mount Eden Road Board, County of Eden.

THE following special order, made by the Mount Eden Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

BY-LAW for the Regulation of Heavy Traffic, made by the Mount Eden District Road Board, in the County of Eden.

BY-LAW made by special order by the body corporate called the Mount Eden District Road Board, passed at a special meeting of the said Road Board on Monday, the 12th day of February, 1894, confirmed by special order, and stamped with the common seal of the said Road Board on the 19th day of March, 1894:—

In pursuance of the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and “The Counties Act, 1886,” and the several amendments thereof, the Mount Eden District Road Board hereby make the following by-law, which shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1894:—

  1. That the owner of any vehicle used for carting scoria, ash, stone, or earth on or over any road under the control of the said Road Board shall, before using such vehicle, pay to the said Road Board for each such vehicle the annual license-fees following—that is to say: For vehicles having wheels with 2½in. to 2¾in. tires, £20; 2¾in. to 3in. tires, £15; 3in. to 4in. tires, £10; 4in. to 4½in. tires, £5; 4½in. tires and over, £1.

  2. That any person who, after the coming into operation of this by-law, shall use any vehicle as aforesaid used for carting scoria, ash, stone, or earth on or over any road under the control of the said Road Board without having first paid the annual license-fee prescribed in that behalf shall be deemed to have committed a breach of this by-law, and, on conviction thereof, shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding £10.
