Revoking Regulations under "The Civil Service Reform Act, 1886."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighth day of March, 1894.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR P. A. BUCKLEY, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by "The Civil Service Reform Act, 1886," and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby revoke part (e) of the regulation numbered two of the regulations set forth in an Order in Council issued on the twenty-second day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, under the said Act, and which Order in Council was published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirty-first day of March then instant; and doth hereby order and declare that the following shall be read in lieu thereof:—

(e.) A medical certificate of fitness by a legally-qualified medical practitioner in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto.

"Civil Service Reform Act, 1886."—Physical Examination of Candidate.

I, , of , a legally-qualified medical practitioner, hereby certify that I have this day physically examined , aged years, a candidate for admission to the public service of New Zealand. I find the condition of his heart and lungs healthy, and I certify that to the best of my knowledge and belief his constitution is sound, and that he is physically fit for the public service.

His height is feet inches, weight stones pounds, and chest-measurement on full inspiration inches.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of March, 1894.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by "The Education Act, 1877," His Excellency the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the colony, doth hereby make the regulation hereto annexed regarding certain payments of capitation allowance to Education Boards; and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby prescribe that this order shall come into force on the date of the first publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

REGULATION.

NOTWITHSTANDING anything to the contrary contained in an Order in Council made on the 5th day of January, 1888, under the provisions of "The Education Act, 1877," relating (inter alia) to attendance registers and returns, the payment of capitation allowance to Education Boards for the quarter ending on the 30th day of June, 1894, shall be according to the working average attendance of the quarter ending on the 31st day of March, 1894, as working average is defined by Order in Council dated the 5th day of July, 1887, and made under the provisions of the before-mentioned Act.

Wellington Education Board to be subject to Provisions of "The Public Bodies' Powers Act, 1891."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of March, 1894.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, by section four of "The Public Bodies' Powers Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), it is among other things provided that the Governor by Order in Council may from time to time declare that any leasing authority shall be subject to the provisions of the said Act, but that no such order shall have any effect unless it be issued at the request or upon the recommendation of the leasing authority on whose behalf such order is issued:

And whereas the Education Board of the District of Wellington is a leasing authority within the meaning of the said Act, and has requested that it may be brought under the provisions of section five of the said Act as amended by "The Public Bodies' Powers Act 1887 Amendment Act, 1891":

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that from and after the date hereof the Education Board of the District of Wellington shall be subject to the provisions of section two of "The Public Bodies' Powers Act 1887 Amendment Act, 1891."
