A GENERAL MEETING of the above company, for the purpose of receiving the report and accounts of the Liquidator, will be held at the office of the undersigned, in Victoria Street, Hamilton, on Wednesday, the 30th day of May, 1894, at the hour of 11 o'clock in the forenoon.

In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882"; and in the matter of the Wellington Patent Slip Company (Limited).
N OTICE is hereby given that on the 16th day of March, 1894, an order was duly made by and under the seal of the Supreme Court of New Zealand for the Wellington District confirming the cancellation of a portion of the shares and the reduction of the capital of the Wellington Patent Slip Company (Limited), respectively made under a special resolution duly completed and passed in that behalf by the said company on the 21st day of February, 1894; and that the said order was, on the 19th day of March, 1894, produced to the Registrar of Joint-stock Companies appointed and acting under the provisions of "The Companies Act, 1882"; and that a duplicate original of the said order, under the seal of the said Court, and of a minute approved by the said Court, showing with respect to the capital of the said company the amount of such capital as altered by the said resolution and order, the number of shares into which such reduced capital is divided, and the amount of each share, were on the said 19th day of March, 1894, delivered to the said Registrar; and that the said Registrar did thereupon, on the 19th day of March, 1894, register the said order and minute respectively.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto carried on by JOHN O'NEILL, JAMES O'NEILL, and ALFRED CRONIN, under the style or firm of "O'Neill Brothers and Cronin," at Le Bon's Bay, as Dairy Farmers, has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The business will in future be carried on by the said Alfred Cronin on his sole account, and he will pay all moneys owing by the late Partnership, and will collect all debts due to it.

BOROUGH OF HASTINGS.—NOTICE.
In the matter of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and the various Acts amendments thereof.
W HEREAS the Hastings Borough Council propose to construct an open drain for the conveyance of surface- and storm-water from a road within the Hastings Borough, known as Norton Road, to the Makirikiri Creek, through those parcels of land hereinafter in the Schedule hereto described; and for that purpose further propose to take, under the said "Public Works Act, 1882," all those parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, notice is hereby given that a plan, showing the proposed drain and the land proposed to be taken, is now deposited and open for inspection at the offices of the Hastings Borough Council, situated in Heretaunga Road, Hastings; and all persons affected by the proposed drain, or by the proposed taking of the said lands, are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works, or to the taking of such lands, and to send such notice to the Clerk of the Hastings Borough Council within forty days after the first publication of this notice, to wit, the 30th day of April, 1894.
