allotments only.

These sections are sitated in the Mangarone Valley, and
consist of flat and soping land of good quality. All the
bush has been felled and fired; but in places the burn is
not a good one. The sections have frontages to the Mangarone Valley formed road, and are distnt from Pahiatua, in
a southerly direction, about ten miles, and from Ektahuna, in a northerly direction, via the Ektahuna-Alfedton and
Mangarone Valley Rads, about elven miles.
Second schedule.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

The lands enumerated in the First schedule hereto are
first-class lands, and are divded into village-homestad
allotments, open for selection on leas in perpety, under
the provisins of "The Land Act, 1892" (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"). -
The day on which the lands shall be open for selection
sall be Wednesday, the sixteeth day of May, one thousand
eihgt hundred and ninty four. -
The renta stated in the First schedule hereto shall be
the price at which the land shall be open for selection. -
Application for leas shall be made in manner as
provided in Part I. of the said Act; and all such applications shall be made to the Commisioner of Crwn Lands, Wellington; and leas will be issued in acordance with
the provisins of Part I. aforesaid. -
Each applicat shall state his or her resdence, occupa-tion, and condition in life (namely, whether married or
single), and will be required to make the declartion herey
prscribed. -
Each applicat shall pay the first half-year's rent, together with the leas and registration-fees, immediately
the application has been approved or declared successful at
the ballt. -
All rents must be paid half-yearly, in advance, on the
first days of January and July in each year, as provided in
section 157 of the said Act; and the first half-year's rent is
payable as before provided. -
No lesse shall hold more than one allotment, and such
allotment shall be held for his sole use and benefit, and
not for the use or benefit of any other person whomsoever.
No married woman shall be eligle as a selector; but this
provision shall not apply to any married woman who may
beome a transfree under a will or by virtue of an intestacy. -
The lesse must resde on the land leas within one
year from the date of leas, and thereafer such resdence
sall be continous. -
Imrovements and resdence on the land comprised in
each leas shall be as provided in Part III. of the said Act.
The provisins of section 144, and all other provisins of
the said Act with respect to substantial imrovements, shall
apply according to lessees under these regulations. The
provisins of section 141, and all other provisins of the said
Act in respect of compulsory resdence, shall apply accord-ingly to lessees under these regulations.Substantal imrovements of a permanent character mean
and include reclamation from swamps, clearing of brush, gorse, broom, sweetbriar, or scrb, cultivation, plantng
gardens, fncing, drang, making rods, sinking wlls or
water-tanks, constructing water-races, shp-dips, making
embankments or proective works of any kind, in any way
improving the character or frtility of the sol, or the erec-tion of any non-movble building. -
No lesse shall subdive, sublet, or transfer the land
hld by him under these regulations, except under and sub-ject to the provisins of Part I. of the said Act. -
All the provisins of the said Act, so far as applicable, sall extend and apply to the lands affected by these regula-tions, and to the applications and leas to be made and
issued thereunder, and generally to the interests created, and the persons whose rights, liablities, or interests are
therby affected; and the mention of any particular provison
of the said Act shall not be deeme to exlude any other
provision of the said Act applicable to the particular case.
DCLARATION TO BE MADE BY APPLICANT.
I, A.B., , do solemnly and sincerely declare—
- That I am of the age of seveteen years and upward.
- That I am the person who, subject to the provisins of
"The Land Act, 1892," am applyng for the purchase of a
leas of Section , Block , District. - That I am aquring such leas soley for my own use
and benefit, and not directly or indrectly for the use or
benfit of any other person or persons whomsoever. - That I am not the owner, tenat, or occupier, directly
or indrectly, either by myself or jointly with any other
person or persons, of any lands anywhere in the colny ex-ceeding in the whole one acr.
And I make this solemn declartion conscienously be-lieving the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealnd intitled "The Justices
of the Pece Act, 1882. "

Removal of Restrictions on Alienaion of Natiue Land.
GLASGOW, Goveror.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildngs, at Wellington, this twelfth
day of March, 1894.
Presnt:
The Honourable SIR P. A. Buckley, K.C.M.G.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made to the Goveror
of the land described in the second column of the schedule
hereto, praying that the restrctions on the aliention of
the land contained in the Crwn grant beaing date the
twenty-forth day of November, one thousand eight hundred
and eihgt-two, described in the first column of the
said schedule, may be removed: And where it appears
to the Goveror, that all the provisins of the law in that
behal have been complied with: And where it appears
expedient to grant such application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Goveror of the Colny
of New Zealnd, in pursuance and exercise of the powers con-ferred on him by "The Natiue Land Act, 1888," and acting
with the advice and consent of the Excutive Council of
the said colny, doth herey order and declare that all
restrctions impsed by the said Crwn grant on the aliention
of the said land are herey removed.
