I, ROBERT MARTIN BEATTIE, Bachelor in Medicine and Master in Surgery of the University of Edinburgh, now residing in North-east Valley, hereby give notice that it is my intention to apply to you on the 9th April, 1894, to have my name placed on the Medical Register of New Zealand, and that I have deposited my evidence of qualification for public inspection with you, the Registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages, at Dunedin.

I, EDWARD HENRY SCOTT, late of Sydney, now of Motueka, Nelson, New Zealand, Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery of the University of Sydney, hereby give notice that I have this 27th day of February, 1894, deposited evidence of my qualification with the Registrar of the Nelson District, and that I shall apply to be registered under the Medical Practitioners Act of New Zealand on the 27th day of March, 1894.

SPECIAL RESOLUTION.

At an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Shareholders of the above company, held at the company’s offices, Palmerston Street, Westport, on Thursday, 22nd February, 1894, at the hour of 8 p.m., the following resolution was carried:—

“That this company be voluntarily wound up, and that Mr. Frank Slee, of Westport, Accountant, be Liquidator, at the remuneration recommended by the shareholders at the ordinary annual general meeting held 12th ultimo.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between Samuel Woods and Charles Clarke Woods, both of Hawera, in the Colony of New Zealand, trading together in co-partnership, under the style or firm of “Woods Brothers,” as Farmers and Grain-merchants, has been dissolved as from the 6th day of March, 1894, by mutual consent. All debts owing to the firm are to be paid to Mr. Samuel Woods, whose receipt will be a sufficient discharge. All debts owing by the firm will be paid by Mr. Samuel Woods.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, under the style of “Waller and Oakden,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent, and that the undersigned, Charles Edward Ernest Waller, will pay all debts and liabilities and receive all moneys payable to the said late firm.

MATAMATA ROAD BOARD.

Notice to Open a Road under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and Amendments thereof.

PUBLIC Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Matamata Road Board to open a road, 200 chains long (more or less) and 100 links wide, from the Stanley Road to the Lichfield-Te Aroha Road, through part of Turanga o Moana Block and part of Okauia No. 1A, Matamata Road Board District, Piako County, Tapapa Survey District, Blocks III. and IV., in the Provincial District of Auckland.

Plans of the road to be taken are now open for inspection at the office of the Matamata Road Board, “The Tower,” Matamata, and objections (if any) to the taking of the said road must be lodged in writing, and addressed to the Chairman, at Matamata, within forty days of the date hereof.

Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Life Assurance Companies Act, 1873.”

NOTICE.—Whereas I, the undersigned, did on the 26th day of February, 1894, receive a letter from the liquidators of the Standard Accident Insurance Company (Limited), giving me notice of the voluntary winding-up of the said company and of the appointment of liquidators for such purpose, and, as a consequence, that the said Standard Accident Insurance Company (Limited) had ceased to carry on the business of life assurance in New Zealand.

Now this is to give notice to all whom it may concern that, under and by virtue and in pursuance of the provisions of section 18 of “The Life Assurance Companies Act, 1873,” I shall, on or after the 1st day of September, 1894, allow the withdrawal of all deposits made with me by the Standard Accident Insurance Company (Limited) under the said Act: Provided that the said company shall then or previously satisfy me as required by subsections (2) and (3) of the said section 18.
