Removal of Restrictions on Alienaation of Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildiugs, at Wellington, this second day of March, 1894.

IN COUNCIL.

HEREAS application has been made to the Govenor
in Council by the Natiye owners of the land described
in the second column of the Schednle hereto, praying that the
restricUons on the alienaUon of such land contained in the
Crown grant bearillg date the sixteentb day of February,
one thousand eight hundred and eightv-oue, described in the
first column of the said Schednle, may be removed: And
whereas inqni ry has been dnl y made by the Natiye Land
Coun, and the said Court has reported that the proyisions of
the law in that beha lf have been complied with: And
whereas it appears expeclient to grant such application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Govenor of the Colouy
of New Zea land, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred on him by "The Natiye Land Act, 1888," and
acting with the adyice and consent of the Execntiye Council
of the said colouy, doth herebv order and declare that all
restricUons impos ed by the said CrOWll grant on the alienaUon
of the said land are herebv removed.

said Schednle, may be removed: And wherea8 inqni ry has

fee, &c., Wunganui District.

N exercise of the powers Yested in me by "The Anima l8
ProtecUon Act, 1880," and the Act8 amending the 8ame,
I, David, Ear! of Gla8gow, the Govenor of the Colouy of
New Zea land, do herebv notify that cock pheasants and
quail may be taken or killed within the W anganui District,
consisting of the Counties of W anganui and Waitotara, from
the twentv-tb ird day of March, one thousand eight hundred
and ninty-fonr, to the twentv-tb ird day of June, one thou-
sand eight hundred and ninty-fonr, both incJnsive (subject
nevertbeless to the restricUons in the said Act8 mentioned).
And I do further notify that license8 to take or kill such game
within the said district shall be issued on payment of the
sum of twentv shillings each, and that license8 to sell game
and natiye game shall be issued on payment of the sum of
five pounds each; and the Chief Postmaster at W anganui,
and the Postmasters at W aYerley and Waitotara, are herebv
appo inted to sign and issue the said license8.
And I do further declare that natiye game, excepting tui,
luis, white heron, and cre8ted grebe, may be taken or killed
within the above-mentioned district from the twentv-tb ird
day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninty-fonr,
to the twentv-tb ird day of June, one thousand eight hundred
and ninty-fonr, both days incJnsive.
As witne88 the hand of His Excellency the Govenor,
this second day of March, one thousand eight
hundred and ninty-fonr.

New Zea land, do herebv notify that pheasants and Cali fornian and
A ustralian quail may be taken or killed within the Auckland
Dietrict, consi8ting of the Auckland Proyincial District, ex-
cepting the Counties of Cook, W aipu, Taurang a, Rotorua,
Whakatane, East T a np, and W airoa, and excepting also
the i8land8 known as the Little Bariier and the Hen and
Chickens, and that portion of the Lake Road District,
Coun ty of W aitemata, bounded on the north by the W airau
Creek from its mouth to the main road from Devonport to
Waiwera, on the west by the said road to its jnncUon with
the Seaview Road, on the south by that road to the sea, and
on the east by the sea to the point of departnre, from the
first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninty-
four, to the thirtv-first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and ninty-fonr, both incJnsive (subject nevertbe-
less to the restricUons in the said Act8 mentioned). And I
do further notify that license8 to take or kill such game with-
ill the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of
twenty shillings each, and that license8 to sell game and
natiye game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five
pounds each; and the Chief Postmasters at Auckland and
Thames are herebv appo inted to sign and issue the said
license8.
And I do further declare that natiye game, excepting tui,
luis, white heron, and cre8ted grebe, may be taken or killed
within the above-mentioned district, except in the portion8
thereof hereiubefore described, from the twentv-tb ird day of
