Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Patent Office,

Wellington, 15th February, 1894.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-mentioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate, of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating the particular grounds of his objection. A fee of 10s. is payable with such notice:—

No. 6197.—22nd May, 1893.—HENRY BINGHAM, of 21, Ingestre Street, Wellington, New Zealand, Gentleman. An invention for the absolute combustion of fuel and smoke, to be known as “The Absolute Combustion Furnace.” (Specification, 3s. 6d.; drawings, 5s.)*

No. 6493.—21st October, 1893.—EWALD SCHÖNEBERG, of Düsseldorf, Germany, Factory-manager. An invention for improvements in barbed fencing-wire. (Specification, 4s.; drawings, 5s.)

No. 6622.—16th January, 1894.—JOHN SORLEY, of Feilding, New Zealand, Medical Practitioner. An invention for an improved stopper for bottles and similar articles. (Specification, 3s.; drawings, 3s.)

No. 6634.—23rd January, 1894.—CHARLES FREDERIC LICHTWARK, of Normanby, Taranaki, New Zealand, Professional Horseman. An invention for improvements in harness. (Specification, 3s. 6d.; drawings, 3s.)

No. 6648.—1st February, 1894.—EDWARD RICHARDSON the Younger, of Albury, Canterbury, New Zealand, Station-manager. An invention for improvements in the manufacture of limestone or freestone into manure. (Specification, 2s.)

No. 6650.—30th January, 1894.—WILLIAM CROWE and DAVID WILLIAM OWEN FAGAN, both of Whangarei, Auckland, New Zealand, Settlers. An invention entitled “Crowe and Fagan’s Self-aërating Flour,” No. 1 and No. 2. (Specification, 2s.)

No. 6654.—5th February, 1894.—SAMUEL WILLIAM MAQUAY, of 1, Whittingstall Road, Fulham, Middlesex, England, Engineer. An invention for improvements in primary batteries, and in their application to portable electric lamps. (Specification, 11s. 6d.; drawings, 10s.)

No. 6655.—30th January, 1894.—ADAM CRUICKSHANKS, Jun., of Waikaka Valley, Otago, New Zealand, Farmer. An invention for improvements in agricultural ploughs, to be known as “Cruickshank’s Angular-cut Skimmer.” (Specification, 2s.; drawings, 3s.)

No. 6662.—8th February, 1894.—ALEXANDER HARVEY, of Albert Street, Auckland, New Zealand, Merchant and Manufacturer. An invention for an improved tin or can for preserving perishable articles. (Specification, 4s.; drawings, 5s.)

No. 6665.—8th February, 1894.—FREDERICK GEORGE SHERER, of Union Street, Auckland, New Zealand, Ship’s Carpenter. An invention for an improved washing-machine. (Specification, 4s.; drawings, 10s.)

No. 6669.—12th February, 1894.—JOHN MACLELLAN, of the firm of Foy and Gibson, trading at No. 139, Smith Street, Collingwood, Victoria, Merchants (assignee of Alfred Phillip Dowell, of No. 73, St. George’s Road, North Fitzroy, Victoria, Coachbuilder). An invention for a spring clip for fastening stoppers and covers in bottles, jars, cesspans, and other receptacles. (Specification, 8s. 6d.; drawings, 10s.)
