RESERVES ACT, 1892."

NOTICE TO NATIVE OWNERS AND LESSEES OF A
MEETING to be held at the COURTHOUSE,
MANAPOURI, at 4 o'clock p.m. on MONDAY, the
8th JANUARY, 1894, to fix the Rent for a NEW
LEASE to RICHARD OWEN HENDY, of Sections
142, 144, and 145, Block IV., Waimate, contain-
ing 316 acres (more or less), being Land com-
prised in Memorandums of Leases registered
Nos. 418 and 1223.

To Wiremu Katene, Kuraroa, Pipi, Tapui-
rangi, Ngapaku, Hauwhenua, Huatahi,
Tapena, Punahau, Nauora, Taketake, Ngatai
Tangirua, Marupatunga, Tahuoi, Ngaripo, Ma-
tohe, Te Hira, Kawhena, Ngarama, Ngati, Nga-
tokoma, Kirimaro, John Carr (Charles Carr,
trustee), Ngawhare, Te Ike, Te Piki (kauma-
tua), Mahau, Te Piki te Iki, Hori, Wharehere-
here, Kiri Taupata, Tamawhero, Paerangi, Hiwi,
Ngahuia, Rangiwhetu, Rangimaha, Te Raho,
Ruihi, Motumahanga, Huia, Te Rauna, Tani-
wha, Kohunga, Maha, Ngaro, Tuku, Tauke, Te
Whirohiro, Heao, Ngahaka, Kiore, Tawiri,
Waiata, Ngawai Tarawhiti, Awhio, Te Rupapira,
Pouwhareumu, Whakataka, Taha, Waipatara,
Hihi, Haukopa, Ngoku, Whakarua, Tarewa, Ko-
tuku, Atutahi Pirikahu, Tini Pirikahu, Taroa
Pirikahu, Koroneho Pirikahu, (Whakarua-te-
Kareha, trustee); Pirikaha, Kiriwhera (succes-
sors of), Tutae, Ngataitangirua, Te Whatu,
Rangihae, Te Heke, Taumana, Hore, Whaka-
whiria, Tohukore, Pawa, Motuhanga, and the
other Native owners of all that piece of land
situate in the Waimate Survey District, being
Sections 142, 144, and 145, Block IV., and contain-
ing by admeasurement 316 acres (more or less),
being the land comprised in memorandums of
leases registered Nos. 418 and 1223, to Richard
Owen Hendy, of Hawera, farmer, as lessee.

Whereas the above-named Richard Owen
Hendy has given notice to me under the provi-
sion of section 8 of "The West Coast Settlement
Reserves Act, 1892," that he desires to obtain
under that section a new lease of the land above
described; and I consider his application ought
to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby
appoint a meeting to take place between the said
Richard Owen Hendy and all the Native owners
of the above-described land, for the purpose of
fixing the rent to be paid for the said land for the
first twenty-one years of the new lease; and I fix
the Courthouse, Manapouri, as the place where, and
Monday, the 8th day of January, 1894, at 4
o'clock in the afternoon, as the time when, such
meeting shall take place.

WAITARA, at 2 o'clock p.m. on THURSDAY, the
18th JANUARY, 1894, to fix the Rent for a NEW
LEASE to LAVINIA MARY CLARE, of Section
No. 100, Block V., Waitara, containing 100
acres (more or less), being land comprised in
Memorandum of Lease registered No. 736.

To Rameka Paratene (Paratene Nikorima,
trustee), Tikapa te Motuururua (Paratene
Nikorima, trustee), Piripi Putaraka, Kere Hape,
Waret a te Wana, Kiri Nganeko, Pirini, Kamarei,
Hukinga Huia, Te One Tahuri, Te Awaiti Tahuri,
Piripi Mohi, Pourere, Eraia Pakirikiri, Ropata
Ngarongomate, Tare te Rutu, Amira Haka raa,
Te Wairinga Paratene, Hinemata Paratene,
Hoera Paratene, Meha Paratene, Tao Paratene,
Ranuka Paratene, Tetihi Paratene, Pereniki
Paratene (Paratene, trustee), Te Wairingiringi
Paratene, Hoana Patara, Roka Tumaiwaho,
Parem auri Kipa, Ruiha Tangotango, Maraea
Tamati, Wakareinga, Tihi Paratene, Hemangaru,
Harata, Eruini te Rangurihau, Tawhanga Eruera,
Parem auri, Roka Tumaiwaho, and the other Na-
tive owners of all that piece of land situate in the
Waitara Survey District, being Section No. 100,
Block V., and containing by admeasurement 100
acres (more or less), being the land comprised in
memorandum of lease registered No. 736, to
Lavinia Mary Clare, of Waihi, Waitara, married
woman, transferee.

Whereas the above-named Lavinia Mary Clare
has given notice to me, under the provisions of
section 8 of "The West Coast Settlement Re-
serves Act, 1892," that she desires to obtain
under that section a new lease of the land above
described; and I consider her application ought
to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby
appoint a meeting to take place between the
said Lavinia Mary Clare and all the Native
owners of the above-described land, for the pur-
pose of fixing the rent to be paid for the said
land for the first twenty-one years of the new
lease; and I fix the Courthouse, Waitara, as the
place where, and Thursday, the 18th day of
January, 1894, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, as
the time when, such meeting shall take place.

the Whareroa Native Reserve, known as "Nga-
motu," and containing by admeasurement 387
acres (more or less), being the land comprised
in confirmed lease registered No. 1180, and to
Alexander Gore Brett, of Hawera, Town Clerk,
lessee.

Whereas the above-named Alexander Gore
Brett has given notice to me, under the provi-
sions of section 8 of "The West Coast Settlement
Reserves Act, 1892," that he desires to obtain
under that section a new lease of the land above
described; and I consider his application ought
to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby
appoint a meeting to take place between the
said Alexander Gore Brett and all the Native
owners of the above-described land, for the pur-
pose of fixing the rent to be paid for the said
land for the first twenty-one years of the new
lease, and I fix the Courthouse, Hawera, as the
place where, and Thursday, the 4th day of
January, 1894, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, as
the time when, such meeting shall take place.
