Patent Office Supplement.
A SEPARATE Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette is
now published fortnightly, containing all notices con-
cerning patents and trade-marks required by law to be
gazetted; also, particulars of lapsed applications for patents,
expired letters patent, and other information useful to in-
ventors, manufacturers, and others. The Supplement will
be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on
payment of a special subscription of ten shillings per annum,
payable in advance to the Government Printer.

NOTICE to NATIVE OWNERS and LESSEE of a
MEETING to be held at the HOUSE OF RUHIRA
PORIKAPA, at STONY RIVER, at 11 o'clock a.m. on
FRIDAY, the 12th day of JANUARY, 1894, to fix
the Rent for a NEW LEASE to JAMES JEKEN
ELWIN of Sections Nos. 39 and 41, Block IV.,
CAPE, containing 634 acres (more or less), being
Land comprised in Memorandums of Lease
registered Nos. 636 and 640.
TO Ruhira Porikapa, Matao, Taratupa, Nga-
mura, Rohea, Hinerahui, Hinemanu, Ta-
maki, David James Ashdown, George Ashdown,
Maraea Guard (née Ashdown), Hineawe, Mere
Repo, Riti, Wharehoka, Whatarau, Pourua, Hone
Kere, Pire Aotaka, Te Pehi, Te Tauru, Nga-
tairakauini, Ruakere Moeahu, Te Ataao, Te
Muhu, Ruakere, Miri, Ruakere Moeahu, Inia,
Te Hohoki, Te Para, Nohomairunga, Takarangi,
Komene Patara, Te Hama te Mounga, Neretini
Kaumoana, Ropata Ngareongomate, Neha Ra-
gikapuoho, Rongonuiarangi, and the other
Native owners of all that piece of land situate in
the Cape Survey District, being Sections Nos. 39
and 41, Block IV., Cape, and containing by ad-
measurement 634 acres (more or less), being the
land comprised in memorandums of lease regis-
tered Nos. 636 and 640, to James Jeken Elwin,
of Puniho, farmer, lessee.
Whereas the above-named James Jeken Elwin
has given notice to me, under the provisions of
section 8 of "The West Coast Settlement Re-
serves Act, 1892," that he desires to obtain under
that section a new lease of the land above de-
scribed; and I consider his application ought to
be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby
appoint a meeting to take place between the said
James Jeken Elwin and all the Native owners of
the above-described land, for the purpose of fixing
the rent to be paid for the said land for the first
twenty-one years of the new lease; and I fix the
place where, and Friday, the 12th day of January,
1894, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, as the time
when, such meeting shall take place.
