Wanganui District Hospital Board to be subject to the Pro-
visions of the Public Bodies' Powers Acts.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fourth
day of December, 1893.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section four of "The Public Bodies'
Powers Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said
Act"), it is provided that the Governor, by Order in Council,
may from time to time declare that any leasing authority
shall be subject to the provisions of the said Act or any
section of the same, but that no such order shall have any
effect unless it be issued at the request or upon the recom-
mendation of the leasing authority on whose behalf such
order is issued:
And whereas it has been made to appear that the Wanga-
nui District Hospital Board is a leasing authority within the
meaning of the said Act, and has requested that it may be
brought under the provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency David, Earl of Glasgow,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities con-
ferred on him by the said Act, doth hereby order and declare
that from and after the date hereof the Wanganui District
Hospital Board shall be subject to the provisions of "The
Public Bodies' Powers Act, 1887," as amended by "The
Public Bodies' Powers Act 1887 Amendment Act, 1891."

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Reserve at
Kaponga, Taranaki.
GLASGOW, Governor.
WHEREAS by "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," it is
amongst other things enacted that the Governor
may declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or
alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter
vested in Her Majesty or the Governor for any of the pur-
poses named in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act,
whether the same be granted or not; and in the case of any
reserve made under the authority of section one hundred
and forty-four of "The Land Act, 1877," if it shall, in the
opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose
of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or
presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other
purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be
expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such
reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one
or more purposes named in the said Class II., the Governor
may, by notice gazetted, declare his intention to make such
change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in
such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same
is intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
"The Public Reserves Act, 1881," aforesaid, declare my in-
tention to change the specific purpose of the reserve described
in the first column of the Schedule hereto from that named
in the said first column to that named in the second column
of the said Schedule respectively.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the sixth section of "The Land
Act, 1892," and of every other power and authority enabling
me in that behalf, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that from
and after the day of the date hereof the sections of land
enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be and are hereby
withdrawn from sale as village-homestead allotments.

Crown Lands for the Land District of Westland,
JOHN BEVAN, and
LEONARD NORTHCROFT
Commissioners to classify and report to me upon the rural
lands in the Land District of Westland known as runs
numbered 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113,
114, and 115, as provided by section one hundred and eighty-
nine of "The Land Act, 1892," aforesaid.
