Auckland, being the land contained in Vol. xli., folio 6, of the
Register Book, and a statutory declaration of the loss of the
original certificate of title having been lodged with me, I give
notice that I will issue such provisional certificate as
requested unless caveat forbidding the same be lodged at this
office on or before the 29th day of September, 1893.

Mining Notices.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO RENEW WATER-RACE LICENSE.

Queenstown, 7th September, 1893.

To the Mining Registrar at Queenstown of the Otago Mining
District, and all other persons whom it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to renew our water-race
license, No. 302 (11th July, 1878), to divert and use
water for mining purposes, described as commencing at
a point on the south side of Skipper's Creek, Upper Shot-
over, about 200ft. below Messrs. Southberg's dam at Skip-
per's Creek, and terminating at our crushing-machine or
battery at Bullendale; and that such renewed license shall
be subject to the same annual payment and to the like
conditions, and shall confer the like privileges, including the
right of renewal, as were and are conferred by the said
original license No. 302.

The length of such race is 150 yards or thereabouts; and its
intended course is north and south.

Term of renewal license to be fifteen years, with right of
renewal at end of said term.

The mean depth of such race is 1ft., and the mean breadth
is 3ft.; and it is proposed to divert ten Government heads
of water, being the quantity of water already held under
the said license No. 302. Priority to the said water to date
from, and including, the 11th July, 1878, and preserving
all other priorities and rights of every description to the
said race.

Time required for construction: Already constructed and
in use.

Number and date of miner's right: 2409; 19th April, 1893
(consolidated).

NOTICE is hereby given that the Achilles Goldfields
(Limited), a company duly incorporated in England
under the Companies Acts, 1862 to 1890, intends to carry on
its business at Bullendale, in the Provincial District of
Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand; and that the office of
the said company in New Zealand will be at Bullendale
aforesaid, where legal proceedings of any kind may be
served upon the said company, and to which notices of any
kind may be addressed or given.

THE SUNRISE LEASE GOLD-MINING COMPANY
(LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary meeting
of the shareholders of the Sunrise Lease Gold-mining
Company (Limited), held at the Corporation Chambers,
Arrowtown, on the 6th day of September, 1893, it was re-
solved and confirmed that the company be voluntarily wound
up, and that Mr. HENRY B. SMITH be appointed Liquidator.

In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and the
Saxon Gold-mining Company (Limited), in liquidation.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary
general meeting of the Saxon Gold-mining Company
(Limited), duly convened, and held at the Chamber of
Commerce Room, New Zealand Insurance Buildings, Queen
Street, Auckland, on the 15th day of August, 1893, the sub-
joined special resolution was duly passed, and at a subse-
quent extraordinary general meeting of the said company, also
duly convened, and held at the same place, on the 31st day
of August, 1893, the subjoined special resolution was duly
confirmed:—

"That it is expedient to effect an amalgamation of this
company with the May Queen Gold-mining Company
(Limited), and that with a view thereto this company be
wound up voluntarily, under the provisions of 'The Com-
panies Act, 1882,' and that Dennis Gilmore MacDonnell be
and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of
such winding-up."
