THE following notices of result of elections have been
received at this office, and are published in accordance
with the provisions of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

IT is hereby notified for public information that the Hon.
the Commissioner of Trade and Customs has decided to
interpret "The Customs and Excise Duties Act, 1888," in
relation to the under-mentioned articles as follows:—

NOTE.—"Not otherwise enumerated" appears as n.o.e.; "other
kinds" as o.k.; "articles and materials suited only for, and to be
used solely in, the fabrication of goods in the colony" as a. & m.s.

Notice by Public Trustee under "The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1892."

In the matter of a parcel of land, being Lot 63 of the Sub-
division of Allotment 17, Section 7, Suburbs of Auckland,
at Arch Hill—bounded on the north by Lot 64, 100ft.; and
on the east by Lot 75, 33ft.; on the south by Lot 62,
100ft.; and on the west by the Commercial Road, 33ft.—
of which the last known owners were Samuel Hauge
Smith, Merchant, and Henry Potter, Chemist, both of
Auckland, and now in the occupation of Job Humphries,
Commercial Road, Arch Hill, Auckland.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has been made aware of
the above-described land having no known owner,
and he, having made reasonable inquiry, can discover neither
the owner nor any agent for the said land, nor any objection
to the said land being declared subject to the above-named
Act:

Now, this is to give notice to all whom it may concern
that, unless on or before the 30th day of June, 1894, the
owner of the above-described land establishes his title thereto
to the satisfaction of the Supreme Court or any Judge of
such Court, the Public Trustee will take the steps prescribed
by "The Land Transfer Act, 1885," to be registered as the
owner of such land.

Dated this 5th day of September, 1893.

Notice by Public Trustee under "The Unclaimed Lands
Act, 1892."

In the matter of a parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 64 acres, more or less, being Allotment 53 in the
Parish of Pukekohe and County of Eden, of which the
last known owner was Alexander Scott, deceased.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has been made aware of
the above-described land having no known owner,
and he, having made reasonable inquiry, can discover neither
the owner nor any agent for the said land, nor any objection
to the said land being declared subject to the above-named
Act:

Now, this is to give notice to all whom it may concern
that, unless on or before the 30th day of June, 1894, the
owner of the above-described land establishes his title thereto
to the satisfaction of the Supreme Court or any Judge of
such Court, the Public Trustee will take the steps pre-
scribed by "The Land Transfer Act, 1885," to be registered
as the owner of such land.

Dated this 8th day of September, 1893.

Act, 1892."

In the matter of a parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 52 acres 3 roods, more or less, and being Section 312
on the map of the Patea District, fronting the Ingaahape
Road; and also of a parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section 11, front-
ing Jonas Street, in the Town of Kakaramea; of which the
last known owner was George Green.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has been made aware of
the above-described land having no known owner,
and he, having made reasonable inquiry, can discover neither
the owner nor any agent for the said land, nor any objection
to the said land being declared subject to the above-named
Act:

Now, this is to give notice to all whom it may concern
that, unless on or before the 30th day of June, 1894, the
owner of the above-described land establishes his title thereto
to the satisfaction of the Supreme Court or any Judge of
such Court, the Public Trustee will take the steps prescribed
by "The Land Transfer Act, 1885," to be registered as the
owner of such land.

Section 68, Block VII., North-east Harbour and Blueskin
District, of which the last known owner was John Cooper,
or John Couper, believed to be deceased.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has been made aware of
the above-described land having no known owner,
and he, having made reasonable inquiry, can discover neither
the owner nor any agent for the said land, nor any objection
to the said land being declared subject to the above-named
Act:

Now, this is to give notice to all whom it may concern
that, unless on or before the 30th day of June, 1894, the
owner of the above-described land establishes his title thereto
to the satisfaction of the Supreme Court or any Judge of
such Court, the Public Trustee will take the steps prescribed
by "The Land Transfer Act, 1885," to be registered as the
owner of such land.

Examination for Teachers' Certificates, January, 1894.

CANDIDATES are reminded that the regulations require
that applications for admission to the examination of
teachers be sent in to the office of the Education Depart-
ment, Wellington, by 31st October.
