N OTICE is hereb y given that leas es of the under-men-tioned small grazing-runs will be open for application
at this office on Wednesda y, the 18th October, 1893, at the
rental noted opposite each run.

On Run 26 there are about 300 a c res of fern and scrub,

by light pumice depo sit; b roken country, and well watered;
s uitable for pastoral p urposes.

CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

  1. The term of leas e is twent y -one years, with the o ption
    of renewa l for a further period of twent y -one years, at
    a rent to be fixed by valuation, and improv ements being
    secured to lessee as provided by "The Land Act, 1892, "
    section 182. Each lessee is required to make the declara-tio n as per form p rinted hereon.
  2. No person can leas e more than one run.
  3. Res idence on the run is compulsory, and commences
    within three years in b ush or s wamp land, and within one
    year in open or p artly open land, unless the lessee obtain
    the consent of the Land Board to res ide on other land in his
    occupation.
  4. Permanent improv ements must be effected equal to one
    year's renta l by the end of the first year, two years' renta l
    by the end of the second year, and four years' renta l at the
    end of the s ixt h year; and on b ush land, in addition thereto,
    improvements must be made to the value of 10s. an a cre if
    first-class land, or of 5s. an a cre if second-class land.
  5. One half-year's rent and £1 1s. for the leas e must ac-company the application and decla r ation; the rent to be
    paid half-yearly in advance during the term of the leas e.
    The next payment of rent will become due on the 1st
    Se ptember, 1894.
  6. The lessee has no right to purchase any part of the
    land; but he can select 150 a c res around the homestea d
    throug h which no road can be taken or other public privil ege
    exercised without comp ensation.

  1. That I am of the age of sev enteen years and upwa rds.
  2. That I am the person who, subject to the prov isions of
    "The Land Act, 1892," am desirous of becoming the pur-chaser of a leas e of Run No.†
  3. That I am p urchasing such leas e so lely for my own use
    and benefit, and not directly or indir e c tly for the use of any
    other person or persons wha t ever.
  4. That I am not already the holder of any such leas e in
    any part of the colon y, nor have I any interest in any such
    leas e.
  5. That I am not the holder of any run under Part V I. of
    the aforesaid Act, nor have I any interest in any such run.
  6. That I do not own any freehold land or land held by
    leas e or license of any kind what ever anywhere in the colon y,
    either by myself or jointly with any other person, which,
    exclusive of the land I am now purchas ing the leas e of, will
    exceed in area 1,000 a c res.
    And I make this solemn declara tio n consc i entiously be-lieving the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the
    General Assembly of New Ze aland intituled "The Justices
    of the Pea ce Act, 1882. "

the mode of gr anting the same, and any matter or question
which during such investigation may a rise in relation to the
interests of Natives in the said land, should be, and the same
were thereb y, brought within the jur isdiction of the N ative
L and Court:

C ourt will proceed to inquir e into and deter mine the several
