GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries
Act, 1882," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
JOSEPH MUIR,
WILLIAM HENDERSON,
ALBINUS MARTIN, and
FRANCIS W. TADMAN
to be Trustees, in the place of Robert Bradley, Charles F.
Eaddy, Alfred Woodham, and James H. Ainsworth, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Takahue Cemetery, in conjunction with the other person appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor on the fifth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifteenth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Stratford County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESULT of a poll taken on the 1st day of August, 1893, upon the proposal to borrow £2,000, under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," to (a) grade the Toko Road from the Mangaehu Road to as far past Mr. George Bayly's main gateway as the sum of £250 will enable; (b) form, grade, bridge, and metal the Toko Road from the East Road to the Mangaehu Road with the balance of the loan:—
Total number of ratepayers on special roll, 10; total number of votes exercisable, 23; total number of ratepayers voting in favour of the proposal, 7; total number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal, 16; total number of ratepayers voting against the proposal, nil.
I declare the proposal to be carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Horowhenua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

HOROWHENUA COUNTY SPECIAL DISTRICT No. 2.
It is hereby notified that the result of the poll of ratepayers taken at Shannon, for the Special District No. 2 of the Wirokino Riding, in the above county, on the 29th day of July, 1893, in the matter of the proposal to borrow from the Colonial Treasurer the sum of £250 for completion of the metalling of the main county road in the said district, was as follows:—
Number of voters on special roll, 42; number of votes exercisable on special roll, 54; number of voters who voted in favour of loan, 22; number of votes in favour of loan, 31.
As a majority of ratepayers, capable of exercising a majority of the votes, voted in favour of the above proposal, I declare it carried.
