Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Wellington, 20th July, 1893.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-mentioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate, of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee of 10s. is payable with such notice:—

No. 5816.—6th October, 1892.—RICHARD EDMUND SHILL, of 49, Crystal Palace Road, Dulwich, Surrey, England, Engineer. An invention for improvements in or connected with crushing- or grinding-mills; more especially intended for grinding or reducing ores containing precious metals, and for separating metals therefrom by amalgamation. (Specification, 9s.; drawings, £1.)*

No. 5836.—10th October, 1892.—NICHOLAS GIBBONS, of Port Albert, Kaipara, Auckland, New Zealand, Saw-mill Manager. An invention for an improved apparatus for procuring kauri-gum from swamp and similar land. (Specification, 6s. 6d.; drawings, 7s. 6d.)*

No. 6277.—3rd July, 1893.—ROBERT COCKERELL, of Palmerston, Otago, New Zealand, Blacksmith. An invention for R. Cockerell’s improved double under-cut right- and left-motion discs for road-grading, channelling, draining, cultivating land, and other purposes. (Specification, 1s. 6d.)

An invention for a machine for cutting the bands of sheaves of corn and feeding to a threshing-machine, and entitled “Watts Brothers’ Combined Band-cutter and Self-feeder.” (Specification, 4s.; drawings, 5s.)

No. 6280.—8th July, 1893.—ALFRED GEORGE SEYMOUR RICHARDS, of Palmerston North, New Zealand, Carpenter. An invention for a rack to feed hay, straw, chaff, and other fodder to animals, such as sheep, cattle, horses, &c., to be known as “Richards’s Automatic Sheep-rack.” (Specification, 5s.; drawings, 3s.)
