“New Zealand Company’s Land Claimants Act, 1892.”

NOTICE is hereby given to whom it may concern, in terms of section 14 of “The New Zealand Company’s Land Claimants Act, 1892,” that the original claimants to land within the Land District of Nelson, in the Colony of New Zealand, described in the Schedule hereto annexed, or their respective representatives, are hereby required to prove before me their claims to the issue of Crown grants in their favour, some time previous to the 30th day of June, 1894; in default whereof the said claims will be declared to have lapsed, and be deemed to be abandoned, and the land comprised in the claims will, by section 13 of the said Act, become demesne lands of the Crown, discharged and free from all contracts or engagements whatever.

Native Land Court Notices.

Additional Rule of the Native Land Court.

WHEREAS by “The Native Land Court Act, 1886,” as amended by “The Native Land Court Act 1886 Amendment Act, 1888,” and “The Native Land Court Acts Amendment Act, 1889,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, subject to the approval of the Governor in Council, from time to time to make rules for regulating the sittings, practice, forms, and procedure of the Court, and for the government of all persons acting under the said first-mentioned Act, and for fixing the fees to be paid under the said first-mentioned Act, the time and mode of payment, and for enforcing the payment thereof, and such rules from time to time by other rules to alter or revoke:

Now, therefore, I, George Boutflower Davy, the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, in exercise of the powers enabling me in that behalf, do hereby make the rule following, which shall be read together with the rules of the Native Land Court dated the fourteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, the sixth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, the second day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, the third day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, and the twenty-third day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three:—

  1. There shall be payable to the Registrar of the Native Land Court for the district in which land the subject of any application for removal of restrictions on alienation, or for the consent of the Governor to any alienation, is situate, the following fees in respect of the proceedings upon such application, viz.:—

For every order of Court removing restrictions, also for every recommendation or report under section 17 of “The Native Land Court Acts Amendment Act, 1889” (including hearing-fee) £1 0 0

If the inquiry is continued over one day an additional hearing-fee of £1 for each subsequent day may be charged at the discretion of the Court.
