NOTICE to NATIVE OWNERS and LESSEE of a MEETING to be held at the COURTHOUSE, WAITARA, at 2 o'clock p.m. on FRIDAY, the 23rd JUNE, 1893, to fix the Rent for a NEW LEASE to WALTER CRUMP, of Section No. 5, Block VI., WAITARA, containing 137 acres (more or less), being Land comprised in Memorandum of Lease registered No. 750.

TO Rameka Paratene (Paratene Nikorima, trustee), Tikapa te Motuuruura (Paratene Nikorima, trustee), Piripi Putarakau, Kere Hape, Wareta te Wana, Kiri Nganeko, Pirini, Kamarei, Hukinga Huia, Te One Tahuri, TeAwaiti Tahuri, Piripi Mohi, Pourere, Eraia Pakirikiri, Kopata Ngarongomate, Tare te Rutu, Amiria Hakaraia, Te Wairingi Paratene, Hinemate Paratene, Hoera Paratene, Meiha Paratene, Tao Paratene, Ranuka Paratene, Tetihi Paratene, Pereniki Paratene (Paratene, trustee), Te Wairingiringi Paratene, Hoana Patar a, Roka Tumaiwaho, Paremauri Kipa, Ruiha Tangotango, Maraea Tamati, Waka-reinga, Tihi Paratene, Hemangaru, Harata, Eruini te Rangurihau, Tawhanga Eruera, Paremauri, Roka Tumaiwaho, and the other Native owners of all that piece of land situate in the Waitara Survey District, being Section No. 5, Block VI., and containing by admeasurement 137 acres (more or less), being the land comprised in memorandum of lease registered No. 750, to Walter Crump, of Tikorangi, farmer, lessee:

Whereas the above-named Walter Crump has given notice to me, under the provisions of section 8 of “The West Coast Settlement Reserves Act, 1892,” that he desires to obtain under that section a new lease of the land above described; and I consider his application ought to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby appoint a meeting to take place between the said Walter Crump and all the Native owners of the above-described land, for the purpose of fixing the rent to be paid for the said land for the first twenty-one years of the new lease; and I fix the Courthouse, Waitara, as the place where, and Friday, the 23rd day of June, 1893, at 2 o'clock in the forenoon, as the time when, such meeting shall take place.

Whereas the above-named John James Fisher has given notice to me, under the provisions of section 8 of “The West Coast Settlement Reserves Act, 1892,” that he desires to obtain under that section a new lease of the land above described; and I consider his application ought to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby appoint a meeting to take place between the said John James Fisher and all the Native owners of the above-described land, for the purpose of fixing the rent to be paid for the said land for the first twenty-one years of the new lease; and I fix the Courthouse, Waitara, as the place where, and Friday, the 23rd day of June, 1893, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, as the time when, such meeting shall take place.
