Keenan. Level agricultural and pastoral land; soil black,
parts containing shingle; watered; about seven miles by
road from St. Bathan's; average altitude, 1,400ft. Valuation
for improvements, £191 6s. 3d.

The above are subdivisions of part of Run 224A and the
whole of Run 224C, comprised within Blackstone Hill Station,
and were resumed by the Government on the 1st April, 1893,
the late licensees being Messrs. Ross and Glendining. The
land is open and undulating, with the exception of Sections
17, 20, 22, and 23, Block VIII., and Sections 1 to 3, Block
XIX., which are broken. The country is agricultural and
pastoral throughout, well watered, contiguous to proposed
Otago Central Railway, of an altitude varying from 1,200ft.
to 2,400ft., and within from one to six miles of Hill's Creek
Township. Valuations for improvements are payable as
follow:—Block VIII., Section 17, £15 12s.; Section 16, £160;
Section 19, £10; Section 21, £24 8s.; Section 22, £8 8s.;
Section 23, £8: Block XIX., Section 1, £14; Section 2,
£6 14s.; Section 3, £13 10s.: Block XX., Section 1, £3 6s.;
Section 2, £7 10s.; Section 3, £48 4s.

Subdivisions of parts of Runs 225 and 225A, part of High-
field Station, occupied by Messrs. Ross and Glendining until
April, 1893, when it was resumed for settlement. Section
277 is partly agricultural, partly pastoral; the other sections
are wholly pastoral. With the exception of Section 278,
which is level and shingly, this country is broken, and inter-
spersed with rocks. The land is open, of fair quality,
watered, and situated from fifteen to eighteen miles from
Naseby. The proposed Otago Central Railway traverses the
block. Average altitude, about 2,000ft. Valuations for im-
provements are payable as follow:—Block I., Section 276,
£3 16s.; Section 277, £52; Section 278, £25 12s.: Block
XVII., Section 1, £38 14s.; Section 2, £87 19s.

Gimmerburn Survey District.

Subdivisions of Run 225B and part of Run 225D, part of
Highfield Station, occupied by Messrs. Ross and Glendining
until the 1st April, 1893, when it was resumed for settle-
ment. The land is open, broken, agricultural and pastoral,
of good quality, soil black, partly covered by rocks, watered.
Average altitude, 2,300ft. The sections are situated on road
thirteen or fourteen miles from Naseby, and within easy
distance of proposed Otago Central Railway. Valuations for
improvements are payable as follow:—Section 1, £61 18s.,
and Section 2, £47 17s.

Idaburn Survey District.

Subdivision of part of Run 225, situated within Highfield
Station, and occupied by Messrs. Ross and Glendining until
the 1st April, 1893, when it was resumed for settlement.
The country is open, broken, agricultural and pastoral, of
fair quality, watered, and situated on road thirteen miles
from Naseby. Its altitude is 2,300ft., and it is traversed by
the proposed Otago Central Railway. Valuation for improve-
ments, £29 6s.

Subdivisions of part of Run 219B and part of Run 219C,
recently occupied by the Naseby Pastoral Investment Com-
pany (Limited). Open undulating agricultural land, soil
black. Section 21 is watered, and partly covered with tail-
ings. It is situated on road four miles from Naseby. Sec-
tions 1 and 2 adjoin tailings- and sludge-channel, and are
situated on road nine miles from Naseby. Average altitude
of the above, 1,500ft. Valuation for improvements payable
on Section 21, £92 15s. One month from date after land is
selected will be allowed the trustees of the estate of the late
Walter Inder, to remove fencing from Section 2.

Subdivisions of Runs 220B, 220C, and 220D, part of Gallo-
way Station, resumed for settlement on the 1st April, 1893,
prior to which they were held by Messrs. Robert Campbell
and Sons (Limited). Undulating to broken country, con-
taining good pastoral land. The proposed Otago Central
Railway crosses Section 3, Block VI.; and the main road,
Alexandra South to Ida Valley, affords a frontage to each of
the runs. Sections 1 and 2, Block XIX., and Section 3,
Block VI., abut on the Manuherikia River; the remainder
of the sections, although watered by a few small permanent
streams, may be considered rather dry. The block is situ-
ated from seven to twelve miles from Alexandra South.
Valuations for improvements are payable as follow: Section
3, Block VI., and Section 1, Block XX., £33 4s.; Section 2,
Block XIV., and Section 1, Block XXI., £55 13s. 9d.; Sec-
tion 3, Block XIV., and Section 2, Block XXI., £34 2s. 6d.;
and Sections 1 and 2, Block XIX., £36 1s. 4d.

Station, recently held under license by Messrs. R. Campbell
and Sons (Limited). The above consist of broken pastoral
country, with a few creeks in gullies, and all front Manu-
herikia River except Section 7; altitude from 500ft. to
1,200ft.; situated about one mile from Ophir (Black's), and
adjacent to the Otago Central Railway. Valuations are
payable as follow: Section 4, £318; Section 5, £22; Section
6, £64; and Section 7, £30 8s.

Subdivisions of Runs 223C and 223F, part of Matakauri
Station, recently held under license by Messrs. Laidlaw and
Crawford. The block consists of low-hill country, well suited
for grazing. Section 1, Block XI., and Section 1, Block
XXII., front the Manuherikia River, the other sections are
rather dry, being only watered by Chatto Creek; Section 3,
Block X., is the only lot which is not crossed by the proposed
Otago Central Railway. This land lies from one to five miles
from Ophir (Black's). Valuations are payable as follow:—
Block X., Section 3, £11 5s.; Section 4, £13 10s.: Block XI.,
Section 1, £36 10s.: Block XXII., Section 1, £24 15s.

Waipori Survey District.
