On all intercol onial stea mers when coming to the wharf, per ton register, per
trip
On all ves sels or stea mers tending shi ps or stea mers (not entering the
river) in the roadstea d, per ton register, per trip
On all ves sels coming in ballast for coal or tim ber, for the first four days, per
ton register
For each additional day, per ton register
The maximum charge on any ves sel to be £5 10s. per trip.
The minimum charge on any ves sel coming for coal or tim ber in ballast to
be 5s.
On all ves sels, sailing or stea m, with one-ei ghth ca rgo (or less), one-ei ghth
ra tes to be charged.
If with more than one-ei ghth but not more than one-f ourth ca rgo, one-f ourth ra tes to be charged.
If with more than one-f ourth but not more than one-ha lf ca rgo, ha lf-ra tes
to be charged.
If with more than one-ha lf ca rgo, full ra tes to be charged.

When goods are la nded on wharf ex ship, and redeliver ed to other shi ps, they will
be charged 2s. 6d. per ton, according to ship's ma nifest, or by weight or measure-
ment, at the option of the department, including wharfage, ha ndling, and one week's
storage, after which storage will be charged for.
G o o d s transhipped into lighters or ves sels from ves sels ly ing alongside the
wharves, per ton

C r a n a g e.

For use of cr ane on wharf or ya r d, per ton (min imum charge, 15s.)
Exceptional ca rgoes (as ma y be determined by the Railway Department) to
be charged per day, or otherwise by special agreement.
The charge for cr anage does not include the cost of haulage to the cr ane
when the goods have been previously deposited at a distance therefrom.

S t o r a g e.

On goods not removed within 12 working hours, per day, per ton
On tim ber not removed within one week, per 100ft. superficial, per day
The working hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on week-days.
No ship shall discha rge or take in ca rgo at other times without written notice being
given by the ship's officer to the Wharfinger, under a penalty of £5 for each offence.
The time allowed for receiving coals from the tr ucks into shi ps is at the rate of 30
tons per hour. Demurrage will be charged on such tr ucks as are detained beyond
the time ca lculated at such rate, at 5s. per tr uck per hour or fra cti on thereof.
