LOCAL RATEST—continued.
Class Q, from Greenhills.
Road-metal, ship's ballast, and gavel from Greenhills to Bluff or Invercargill
will be charged 1s. 6d. per ton. MInimum quantity, 5 toms per truck.
CLASES A, B, C, D, DISTRICT RAILWAYS.
The following rates for goods of Classes A, B, C, and D (except mining ma-chinery, and preserved meat from local factories.) will be charged upon the District
Railways stated below, vis.:
Ashburton Forke, Waimate, Duntroon and Haktaramea, and Waimca Plains—
Clases A, B, per ton per mile ... 0 9
Clases C, D, per ton per mile ... 0 6
For local traffic on the district railway-lines and between the terminal station
and statious intermcdiate the minimum charges will be not less than the classificd
rate.
Goode booked through between statione not situatcd on the Waimca Plains
Dietrict Railway will be charged for convevance over the District Railway—
Clases A, B, per ton ... 16 0
Clases C, D, per ton ... 10 0
COAL FROM JETT STREET WHARF, DUNEDIN.
Shumting coal from Jettv Street Wharf, Duncdun, to Pclichet Bay Sidings will be
charged 1s. 6d. per ton ; minimum charge, 7s. 6d. per truck.
COAL FROM NIGTHCABS.
A terminal charge of 2s. 6d. per ton will be made on all coal loaded at the public
sidinga on the NightcabsCoal Company's Railway at Nightcabs Statior in addition
to the ordimry rates.
PAPER FROM LCOAL PAPER-MILS.
Papcr consigned from local paper-mills will be charged Class C, half rate.
MInimum quantity, 10cwt. Any less quantity will be charged as such minimum,
or at the classificd rates for Class D.
CREESE.
The maximum rate for cheeze in 4 ton lots, consigned from factories south of
Dunecin to Bluff, Invercargill, Duncdun, or Port Chalmers will be 28s. per ton.
For cheeze in 4 ton lots, consigned from factories north of Oamaru to Oamaru,
Timar, Christchurch, or Lyttelton, the maximum rate will be 23s. per ton.
GOOOS OF CLASES A, B, C, D (BRNACH LINES)
One pemy per ton per mile will be charged in addition to the classificd rates on
goods of Classes A, B, C, D, on the following branch lines: Rangiora to Sheffield,
Eyrcton, Springfield, Whitecliffa, Lincolu to Little River, MountSomers, Waimate,
Duntroon, Nga para, Livingston, Waihemo, Otago Central, Catin's River, Tapanui,
Wvndham, Seawar Bush, Invercargill to Kingston, Mararou, Riverton, and
Riverton-Nightcabs ; but such addition to be made only for the distance goods are
carried on the branch. MIning machincry is excepted from this regulution.
SHIPE' GOOOS ON POR LINES.
The following ship's goods will be carried by measurcment at half-rates on the
lines stated below, vis. : Combinos, onnibuses, tramcars, and fiock and kspok in
bales.

Onehunga-Aucklnd. Lyttelton- Christchurch.
Picton-Blenhcim. Port Chalmers-Dunecin.
