For local traffic on the District Railway, and between the J unction St ation and
the District Railway-stations, the minimum charges will not be less than the classi-
ified rates.
NAPIER-TARANAKI SECTIOn.
Ships' goods of Classes A, B, C, D, E, H between Spit and N apier will be charged
2s. per ton, by weight or m easurement, according to sh ips' bill of lading, or at
the option of the Railway; and coal as Class Q.
G o o d s of Classes A, B, C, D, E, N, P, between P almerston and L ongburn, booked
between P almerston and st ations on the Wellington–Manawatu Railway Company's
line, will be charged 2s. 6d. per ton; and wool 6d. per bale undumped, 1s. per bale
double-dumped.
CLAss H.—WooL.
Wool, undumped, from W hakatu, T omoana, or H astings to N apier will be charged
10d., to Sp it 11d., per bale. W ool, undumped, between F arndon and N apier or
Sp it will be charged 8d. per bale. W ool, undumped, Sp it to H astings, will be
charged 11d. per bale. T hese rates will apply to scou red wool in bales not ex ceeding
2¹/₄ cwt. each, notw i thstanding regu lation under P art III.
Wool, undumped, from st ations between D annev irke and W oodville inc lusiv e,
consigned to Sp it, will be charged 6s. 4d. per bale.
Wool, undumped, consigned from F eilding to F o xton for sh ipment will be
charged 3s. per bale, including wharfage.
Wool, undumped, from P almerston or L ongburn to F o xton will be charged
2s. per bale, including wharfage.
Wool, undumped, from C arn arvon to F o xton will be charged 9d. per bale. T his
rate will also apply to scou red wool (undumped) in bales not ex ceeding 2¹/₄cwt. each,
notw i thstanding regu lation under P art III.
Wool, undumped, from T urakina or W angaehu to W anganui will be charged
1s. 6d. per bale.
CLAss K.—TIMBER.
T imber consigned from saw-mills to Sp it, N ew P lymouth, N ew P lymouth
B reakwater, W aitara, W anganui, or F o xton, to v essels for sh ipment will be charged
3d. per 100 superficial feet less than the classif ied rates; m inimum charge, 8d. per
100 superficial feet.
W hite-pine timb er consigned to Sp it, N ew P lymouth, N ew P lymouth B reak-
water, W aitara, W anganui, or F o xton for ex port will be charged at the same
rates as white-pine, W ellington Section.
Consignm ents of white-pine not m ad e direct to the ex port sh ip will be charged
the same rate, upon a statu tory decl aration to that effect being furn ish ed, such
decl aration being m ad e under "T he J ustices of the P eace Act, 1882," sections 233
and 234, in the form prescrib ed.
T imber other than white pine for ex port to places outside the C olony of N ew
Ze aland, and r imu for ex port, consigned direct to the sh ip, will be charged as
follows at per 100 superficial feet:—

Over 50 miles and not over 60 miles ... ... 1s. 9d.
