A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891"
(herein termed "the said Act,"), it is, amongst other things,
enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall
be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary
that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set
apart for settlement.
SCHEDULE.
OPUAWHANGA-WHANGAREI No. 1 Block.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in
the Opuawhanga and Whangarei Survey Districts, containing
by admeasurement 4,600 acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the north generally by Section No. 2 of Block IX.,
Opuawhanga Survey District, and by Kooriwa Block; towards
the north-east generally by the ocean, by Section No. 21 (a
landing reserve), again by the ocean, by Sections Nos. 19, 18,
and 17 of Block IX., and by Section No. 1 of Block XIII.,
again by the ocean, by Otito Block, again by the ocean, by
Matapouri and Parangarau Blocks, by a public road-line
bounding Sections Nos. 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2 of Block XIV., and
by Section No. 1 of same block, all of Opuawhanga Survey
District; towards the south-east by Tutukaka Harbour and
by Te Maika Block (No. 4106); and towards the south-west
by Native land to a point called Matanui, about 54 chains
north of Trig. Station 32B, and by a right line thence to the
intersection of the southern boundary-line of Section No. 2
of Block IX., Opuawhanga Survey District, by the road-line
which bounds Section No. 20 of same block.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at Wellington, this
twenty-sixth day of April, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-
three.

Notification of Vacancy of Seat in the House of Representatives for the Electoral District of Inangahua.
IN compliance with the provisions of the 61st section of
"The Regulation of Elections Act, 1881," I hereby
notify that the seat of
RICHARD HARMAN JEFFARES REEVES, Esq.,
in the House of Representatives, for the Electoral District
of Inangahua, did, under the provisions of subsection (4) of
section 58 of the said Act, become vacant on the 26th day of
April, 1893, by reason of his having been adjudicated a
bankrupt.

Notification of Vacancy of Seat in the House of Representatives for the Electoral District of Wanganui.
IN compliance with the provisions of the 61st section of
"The Regulation of Elections Act, 1881," I hereby
notify that
The Hon. JOHN BALLANCE,
a Member of the House of Representatives for the Electoral
District of Wanganui, died on the 27th day of April, 1893,
and that the said seat in the House of Representatives for
the said electoral district is vacant by reason of such death.
