Revocation of Appointment of Bonuing Warehouse.
CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the authority in me for this purpose v
ested, I, the Minister acting for the Com
missioner of Tradc and Cusloms, do, by this order under
my hand, rcvoke and annul the appointmcnt of the under
mentioned warehousc for the rcccption and security of goods
entercd to be warehouscd without payment of duty upon
the first entry thereof, namlcly:—
Port of Lyttelton.
The warehousc known as
TURNER'S BOND,
as appointcd and described in Commissicner's Order No. 97,
of the 16th February, 1877.
Givcn under my hand, at Wellington, this twcnty-fifth
day of April, one thousand eight hundred and nincty-threc.

Act, 1882," I, the Minister acting for the Commissicner of
Tradc and Cusloms, do hercby apprcve and appoint the
under-mentioned warehousc to be a warehousc for the
reccption of goods under bond, namlcly:—
Port of Lyttelton.
A briclt building with slated roof, situate on part of Town
Section No. 862, corner of Cnshcl Street and Oxfard Tcrrace
West, City of Christchurch, and known as the
UNIVERSAL BOND.

Bomis for eradicating the Calfomian Thistlo.—Notice No. 364.
Dcpartmcnt of Agriculture,
Wellington, 29th March, 1893.
CONDITIONS on which a bonus of £250 is offered for a
means of eradicating the Calfomian thistlo (Cnicus
arvonsis):—
-
All applications for the bonus must be sent addrcssed
to the Ilon. the Minister of Agriculture, Wellington, and
must be in his hands not later than the 1st June, 1893. -
The applicnnta must be prepared to submit their pro
posed means of eradicalion in such manner and at such
time and place as the Minister shall direct. -
The Government shall appoint a committee of three or
more persons, under whose instructions and before whom all
tcsts shall be carried through. -
The proposed bonus, or any part thereof, will not be
paid until the proposed remedy has been provcd effectual.

Prizes for Colleclions of Noxioas Weeds and Insects.—Notice No. 365.

Wellington, 7th April, 1893.
PRIZES offered for collections of noxioas wceds and
insects, &c. :—
Collection of noxioas wceds: First prizc, £10; second, £5.
All specimens must have been gathercd in the colcny.
Each specimen must be mountcd on paper 18in. by 11in.,
and bear, if possible, the popular and scientific name, also
the localily where gathercd.
Collection of insects injurioas to New Zealnd vegetation,
and their natural encmics and parnsitcs: First prizc, £10;
second, £5.
All insects must be properly set and named, also have
localily tickets attached.
The collections winning the prizes to become the property
of the department, where they will remain on exliibition
with the name of the collcctor affixcd.
All collections for competition must be delivercd at the
office of the Secretary for Agriculture, at the Govenmment
Buildiugs, at Wcllington, not later than the 31st December,
1893.
Each collection must be marked with a motto, and
accompauiod by a seald envelope containing a copy of such
motto, together with the full name and address of the
exhibitor.
The unsuccessfol exhibits will be returncd to the owners
carriage-free.
