Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, Moa Road District,
County of Taranaki.

Moa Road Board, is published in accordance with
“The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

MOA ROAD BOARD.

Result of poll of ratepayers of the Windsor Road Special
Rating District, taken on the 28th March, 1893, upon the
following proposal: (1.) To form and metal the Windsor Road.
(2.) To borrow for such purpose the sum of £250 under “The
Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886.” (3.) To
strike, as security on such loan, a special rate of 1½d. in the
pound over the following lands, viz.: Sections 106, 107, 108,
109, 110, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, Moa Block.
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 6; number of votes
exercisable, 7; number of votes recorded in favour of the
proposal, 5; number of votes recorded against the proposal, 2.
I declare the proposal carried.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, Clifton County.

the Clifton County Council, is published in accord-

CLIFTON COUNTY.

Result of a poll taken at Taramouke, in the Ngatimaru
Riding, Clifton County, on the 18th March, 1893, on a
proposal to raise a loan of £400, under “The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the purpose of bridging
the Taramouke Stream and road-making in the special rating
district:—
Number on special roll 6, capable of exercising 6 votes;
number who voted in favour of the proposal, 5; number who
voted against it, nil; number who did not vote, 1.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.

POHANGINA ROAD BOARD.

THE following is the result of the poll of ratepayers on pro-
posal to borrow £5,492 for construction of roads in the No. 2
Ward of the Pohangina Road Board District:—
Ratepayers on roll 61, representing 63 votes; votes re-
corded for the proposal, 43; number of ratepayers voting, 41;
against, nil.
As a majority in number of the ratepayers voted in favour
of the proposals, and the number so voting are entitled to
more than one-half of the votes that can be exercised by the
whole number of ratepayers, I hereby declare the proposals
to be carried.

Acknowledgment of Contributions to Queensland Floods
Relief Fund.

AT a public meeting at Brisbane, convened by the
Queensland Flood Relief Committee, the Hon. J. G.
Ward, Postmaster-General of New Zealand, was requested
to convey to the people of New Zealand the thanks of the
people of Queensland for the generous assistance sent from
this colony towards the relief of those who had suffered
through the floods which recently occurred in Queensland.

is hereby promulgated:—

HYDROGRAPHIC REMARKS.

  1. Jervis Bay Rock.—Is 20ft. square, with 2ft. on it at
    low-water spring-tides. Position: Lat., 35° 4′ 15″ S.; long.,
    150° 43′ 38″ E. Perpendicular Point, 75½°; Flora Point, 39°,
    Point (A). Point (A) is the point about half-way between
    Corranbean and Sand Lump.
    Charts affected: No. 2176.
    Sailing Directions: Australian Directory, Vol. i., 1884,
    page 583.
